Its my BFF's birthday today ( I told you guys that May was a nutty month LOL) We have been friends since we were in kdg. And now we are turning 41! Gah!
She is going to FL on a Disney vaca/cruise today so I won't see her for her b-day, but we are combining b-days in June (mine is end of June) to go see the new play, Next to Normal. She saw it already and was blown away by it. It is by the director and producer of Rent and Wicked respectively (IIRC!) and those are my 2 fav plays. It is up for 11 Tony's too. I am really excited to go.
Scott had a great b-day yesterday- and thank you for the b-day wishes for him. I still can't believe -- 13! I still say I am too young for that. Or am I too old? Not sure!! Some days I feel so ancient!
Today I have a gyn appt- with a new/old dr. New insurance and new practice- but is a dr from my old group that I didn't like too much. I was complaining of lots of ctx when I was 6 months pg with Caitlyn and we were going away to PA. I asked what I should do, and he snarkily tells me to not go into labor. A week after I get back- I end up in the hospital with pre-term labor. Thanks for the good advice dude.
Anyway.... LOL
Then I have to pack- we are going to PA today after the kids get home from school. The weather is supposedt o beawesome and I hope that I can spend some time down at the beach. I won't go in the lake, but it will be nice to get some sun. And of course, I adore my parent who keep the kids happy and my dad takes the dogs out for walks in the morning, so I can sleep in.... ahhh!
The only bad thing is that I am offline whle we are there. But I'll bring the laptop and maybe catch up on my scrapping. I have really hit a huge mental mojo block. Don't you hate when that happens?
I hope that all of you have a great weekend- three days off here inthe US.
I want to thank all of you and you families who are/have been in the military- I appreciate all that you do and the sacrifices you make.
Sandra- I am sorry to hear about your Aunt Liz. Your poor family has really taken some hits lately.
Hope you can find the shea butter- yes, emu oil is good to. And so is sesame oil- but you'd want to mix it with something like another oil- jojoba perhaps. I'd stay away from the other nut oils (sweet almond) since it can be allergenic for some people.
Sara- how was the meeting? Hope it went well! Glad that you got to sleep in and relax a bit in the morning!
hehe Dawn, I am not a great firens- she's paying me LOLOL She was going to have a maid service come, but said she'd rather pay me
And I am glad that she did!
Yikes- that coworker really took advantage of you! Hope she gets it when she comes back in today.
Oh, and I was just thinking of this...
you said you had a e coli patient. There is a huge beef recall:

Be careful everyone esp since this is a huge BBQ weekend.
Tali- that is great news about your eyes. I don't blame you for being confused, but def, listen to the specialist!
Clara- ugh, my allergies are making me crazy too. Hope that yours ease up soon. Enjoy your loooong weekend!
Sally-- I'll be thinking of you tomorrow night-- have a great time rocking out!! Geriatric Idol- you are too funny!
Did you post new pics of you and Cora and your hair? Bet you all look fab-O!
Sara- ok, se that the meeting went well. And good for you!!! 20 lbs! You rock!!! Did you get some fun new clothes when shopping?
ME-- oooh you lucky girl! A massage!!! Enjoy!!!
Linda W-- aw, thanks for saying Scott is sweet! He really is a doll. I get so frustrated when he gets all cracky , esp at school. his teachers think I am loony when I say what a good kid he is. Guess they don't always see the same side that I do.
Wow- what a crazy think for the deer to be doing. I had no idea deer could get rabies as well.
Dawn- (again LOL) have you heard about bio-identical hormones? I don't know much about them myself. But Lyme really screws with your endocrine system and I know my adrenals, thyroid and pancreas are all wonky. Someone suggested that i try bio-identical hormones, but I haven't looked into it all all. Just thought I would toss it out to ya and if you have time to google it, maybe it would help.
And to anyone who deals with bipolar, my heart goes out to you. Neurological lyme/late stage Lyme (what G and I have) can mimic mental disorders as it gets into the brain. For the two years prior to Gary's actual diagnosis, he was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder and Bipolar 2. I know that it was hell on earth for us those 2 years. I can't imagine having to go through that for longer.
Thinking good thoughts to you, Linda and Dawn.
PS: The play I am seeing is about a family dealing with Bipolar.
Have a wonderful Friday!
