The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Its my BFF's birthday today ( I told you guys that May was a nutty month LOL) We have been friends since we were in kdg. And now we are turning 41! Gah!
She is going to FL on a Disney vaca/cruise today so I won't see her for her b-day, but we are combining b-days in June (mine is end of June) to go see the new play, Next to Normal. She saw it already and was blown away by it. It is by the director and producer of Rent and Wicked respectively (IIRC!) and those are my 2 fav plays. It is up for 11 Tony's too. I am really excited to go.

Scott had a great b-day yesterday- and thank you for the b-day wishes for him. I still can't believe -- 13! I still say I am too young for that. Or am I too old? Not sure!! Some days I feel so ancient!

Today I have a gyn appt- with a new/old dr. New insurance and new practice- but is a dr from my old group that I didn't like too much. I was complaining of lots of ctx when I was 6 months pg with Caitlyn and we were going away to PA. I asked what I should do, and he snarkily tells me to not go into labor. A week after I get back- I end up in the hospital with pre-term labor. Thanks for the good advice dude.

Anyway.... LOL

Then I have to pack- we are going to PA today after the kids get home from school. The weather is supposedt o beawesome and I hope that I can spend some time down at the beach. I won't go in the lake, but it will be nice to get some sun. And of course, I adore my parent who keep the kids happy and my dad takes the dogs out for walks in the morning, so I can sleep in.... ahhh!

The only bad thing is that I am offline whle we are there. But I'll bring the laptop and maybe catch up on my scrapping. I have really hit a huge mental mojo block. Don't you hate when that happens?

I hope that all of you have a great weekend- three days off here inthe US.

I want to thank all of you and you families who are/have been in the military- I appreciate all that you do and the sacrifices you make.

Sandra- I am sorry to hear about your Aunt Liz. Your poor family has really taken some hits lately. :(
Hope you can find the shea butter- yes, emu oil is good to. And so is sesame oil- but you'd want to mix it with something like another oil- jojoba perhaps. I'd stay away from the other nut oils (sweet almond) since it can be allergenic for some people.

Sara- how was the meeting? Hope it went well! Glad that you got to sleep in and relax a bit in the morning!

hehe Dawn, I am not a great firens- she's paying me LOLOL She was going to have a maid service come, but said she'd rather pay me :) And I am glad that she did!
Yikes- that coworker really took advantage of you! Hope she gets it when she comes back in today.
Oh, and I was just thinking of this...
you said you had a e coli patient. There is a huge beef recall:

http://www.fsis.usda.gov/News_&_Events/Recall_022_2009_Release/index.asp

Be careful everyone esp since this is a huge BBQ weekend.

Tali- that is great news about your eyes. I don't blame you for being confused, but def, listen to the specialist!

Clara- ugh, my allergies are making me crazy too. Hope that yours ease up soon. Enjoy your loooong weekend!

Sally-- I'll be thinking of you tomorrow night-- have a great time rocking out!! Geriatric Idol- you are too funny! :)
Did you post new pics of you and Cora and your hair? Bet you all look fab-O!

Sara- ok, se that the meeting went well. And good for you!!! 20 lbs! You rock!!! Did you get some fun new clothes when shopping?

ME-- oooh you lucky girl! A massage!!! Enjoy!!!

Linda W-- aw, thanks for saying Scott is sweet! He really is a doll. I get so frustrated when he gets all cracky , esp at school. his teachers think I am loony when I say what a good kid he is. Guess they don't always see the same side that I do.
Wow- what a crazy think for the deer to be doing. I had no idea deer could get rabies as well.

Dawn- (again LOL) have you heard about bio-identical hormones? I don't know much about them myself. But Lyme really screws with your endocrine system and I know my adrenals, thyroid and pancreas are all wonky. Someone suggested that i try bio-identical hormones, but I haven't looked into it all all. Just thought I would toss it out to ya and if you have time to google it, maybe it would help.

And to anyone who deals with bipolar, my heart goes out to you. Neurological lyme/late stage Lyme (what G and I have) can mimic mental disorders as it gets into the brain. For the two years prior to Gary's actual diagnosis, he was diagnosed with Intermittent Explosive Disorder and Bipolar 2. I know that it was hell on earth for us those 2 years. I can't imagine having to go through that for longer.
Thinking good thoughts to you, Linda and Dawn.

PS: The play I am seeing is about a family dealing with Bipolar.

Have a wonderful Friday!

good morning... had to get up a little early this morning and take Will to the book fair... today was the last day and because he was out sick on Monday and Wednesday he hadn't had a chance to go... it's buy 1 get one free so for every book he got for himself he got one for Piper... so we ended up with 6 books and a pencil and a pen... he even put in the $2.00 he got from the tooth fairy last night... he pulled 2 teeth within 10 mins of each other LOL!

Not much going on here... I'm still working on those zoo pages for the book for Will's teacher, and I have a kit I need to finish up... that's about it..

Chris - have a good time at the lake!

Finish it Friday: laundry, and cleaning up and around the house!

have a great weekend, everyone!

just wanted to pop in and show that occassionally i do get up before the crack of noon! ;)

i'm off to a spiritual awakening conference!!

I'll check in sometime....I really don't have time to breathe until Sunday afternoon!! :LOL!! Love you all!

geez - I completely forgot to tell you guys we got Will's tests back... he's not anemic and there's no thyroid issues... so it could have just been that his Concerta dosage was too high for him... so hopefully this one will be okay...

Dawn - I'll upload some of my layouts today!

Hi all - I've been MIA for a few weeks (months, maybe?). Sorry 'bout that. April and May have been crazy with family visits, a conference trip for me, and now my Mom's had a minor surgery, but is pretty immobile, so I've been helping with that. Work has been busy too, on top of all that. And I haven't had time to scrap. :-( I've got some cute pictures too that I want to work on. DS took the camera last weekend and took some shots while we were driving down the road (DH was driving). I want to do a layout called "A View from the Back Seat". Maybe I'll steal a few minutes to play today.

I've been addicted to Mafia Wars too. Thanks to you ladies who responded to my requests. The more the merrier!

I've been peeking in on the Daily O's. I hope you're all doing well and have a great long weekend.

Karen

It's Friday, it's friday! And the start of a long weekend for us here. :) Pandora is helping my day go faster - I love to listen to that streaming website - discover lots of good new music.

I got to scrap last night! Danielle has a fab new kit out called Granola Girl. Go check it out - it's got some really cool elements.

Karen - hope your mom's recovery is going smoothly! Missed ya.

Hiya Sal and Sandra!

Chris -- good luck with the doc appointment. and enjoy your downtime at the lake! the weather is supposed to be wonderful this weekend.

Love to you all and have a great weekend.

woo-hoo Friday!

Hi girls. Hope everyone enjoys the long weekend.

Chris - Enjoy the beach, Sally - the retreat.

Sandra - I'm impressed. You did great at the book fair. I love those BOGO fairs. They get me in trouble though. :D

ME - I love Pandora too. They even have an app for the iPod now. Which is cool.

Karen - I'm with you girl. April and May have been insane. And that Mafia Wars is sure a time sucker. =)

Yesterday I got three bottoms and two tops. But today I want to go find something to wear this weekend to the Broadway Across Omaha show that we are going to...Wicked! Everyone seems to love it and says the music is great and it's funny. Hopefully, Matt will enjoy it too. =) But I want to look nice, so I'm going to go look for something quickly today. I promised I'd clean the kitchen and living room area...so I can't spend too much time shopping. =)

Have a good day all!

Hi guys! just a quick check in! we certainly are quacking like ducks down under!!! my hometown of Grafton was evacuated last night as they though the river was going to breach the levy wall so it was quite traumatic being stuck out here where we are and not being able to help the family! only one son and his family had to actually evacuate and they were able to go to the inlaws as they live on higher ground..the other son was ok and didn't have to go. DH's mum, 86yrs old, was evacuated last night around 8.00pm from the retirement/nursing home village and we felt terrible that we weren't able to go and get her as we are stranded and all the roads into town are cut. looking better today......the river didn't peak as expected but they are saying that more rain is on the way today so will just have to wait and see! we are ok, we are stocked up and safe. apart from some really bad erosion at the back of the house everything else is ok. will take some photos today.

LindaW - yep, you can bring that boat down if you like sweetie!!!! tell DH that it truly is a lovely place when the sun is out!! LOL!! :)

Chris - LOL! feeling ancient!! we all have days like that!! I eldest turned 36 !!!!!!!! a couple of weeks back and I still don't believe it!!! LOL! It's lovely to have such a longstanding friendship such as yours with your girlfriend........I have been friends with one of my girlfriends for 40+ something yrs which also started in kinder!! Hope you have a great weekend away and get some R&R in!! why don't you scrap about RELAXING!!! :)

Karen - hi there Karen! your idea of the back seat drive sounds good! will keep an eye out for the layouts!!? :)

ME - the new kit of Danielle's is great isn't it! I love it and having been scrapping a lot with it.

Hi to everyone else as well! gotta go and start phoning around to check how everyone survived last night! Poor DH's mum was evacuated to Coffs Harbour which is like an hours drive from Grafton so it must have been a terrible unheaval for her and her village mates to be taken out in that horrible weather last night and driven all that way!!! did received a text message from her just 10 mins ago to say she was ok this morning so need to ring her to talk to her. cya everyone!! xx

Sandra - I'm impressed. You did great at the book fair. I love those BOGO fairs. They get me in trouble though. :D

LOL - they would us too if I'd let him ;) but actually last time he ended up with more... just seemed like the books he chose this time were more in the $5.00 range now that he's ready at a 3rd grade level LOL!

I can't believe I forgot to check in this morning! It's been a crazy day, got my hair done, I loooove the color....then DH, DS, and I took a bike ride to a Harley dealer in TN to get some parts. The guys are going to the motorcycle races (hopefully, chance of rain is freaking DH out, it's not really that big of a chance) tomorrow and won't be home til Sunday, then Sunday DD and I are headed to Saint Louis for our concert. I'm sooo glad DS decided to go with DH because I didn't really wanna go to the races LOL.

I'll check in tomorrow, I'm beat and heading to bed :). Hopefully, I can sleep through the night and not get up in a few hrs LOL.

Ona - flooding is so hard. We get it here too. There was so much flooding the year my daughter was born that her middle name is Rain. We've had horrible flooding for the past couple of years and it is just so hard not being able to do much to help. I'm glad that your family is safe though. I hope the flooding isn't too devastating.

geez - I completely forgot to tell you guys we got Will's tests back... he's not anemic and there's no thyroid issues... so it could have just been that his Concerta dosage was too high for him... so hopefully this one will be okay...

Dawn - I'll upload some of my layouts today!

Soooo glad to hear Will's tests were ok! I saw your layouts, they are fab!

Flooding stinks, we've had quite a lot here and it's made it difficult for the farmers.

I loooove your DD's middle name, so cute, at least something good came out of all the rain :).

Ona, stay safe and dry ...if dry is possible! So glad you are all ok, and WOW, your DH's 86-yr-old mom text msgs?! That's pretty cool, I hope she's ok, I know that kind of thing creates a lot of stress. Keep us up-to-date on your situation down under!
