For whatever reasons, Friday the 13th have always been good days for me, let's hope that i can keep that together today. I have so much to do after being away for the the last few days. But now I have to get the one cat in to the vet again, i think. He is still peeing out of the litter box. He had a UIT 3 weeks ago, and been on abx for 2 weeks, plus the Prescription diet food. I am scared that he is going to need x-rays.... and I just don';t have the extra money for that this month. grrrr.... I love my animals and I hate putting drs appts off for them too.

We had a nice time away- never long enough!

Hope everyone here is doing great. I better hop in the shower and see what I need to do about my Merlin.

Morning all - Chris hope kitty gets well soon

Do not know what we will do today, but am enjoying not having an agenda- I did install fotofusion on dh laptop, but forgot to bring my cd's of digifiles to use to scrap with- I posted a collage on my facebook page! DH is on the phone, not to a grower but his same age female cousin- they have a special relationship, but it is sometimes difficult for me to understand- that said- have a great day everyone
 
Hey Chris and Laurie!!! GOOD MORNING!!!! :) its 11.50pm down under so our Friday 13th is just about finished............ had a terrific day, lunch with two of my DIL's and then went to took a birthday cake around to one of my grandsons who turned 10 today!!! BUT, my day is not ending very happily. Our foxy got a tick on him yesterday and we got it off last night and he was fine today, went out to 'work' with Reg, ate his dinner, but about an hour ago he came out of his dog house coughing and frothing slightly and his back legs are were starting to wobble!! Reg has gone to take him into the vet so I am really hoping that everything is okay with him. I would have gone with them but I wasn't aware of his coughing etc and I had just taken a sleeping pill as I have been sleeping of late so I thought I had best stay home!! Actually is really is starting to work so I had best sign off and hit the hay!!! Keeping fingers crossed my little Chewie is okay! :(

Glad that you are back Chris. Hope that the day goes well. Laurie, glad that you are having fun!

Another day off for me...and I'm loving it. Enjoyed the time with the kids yesterday. It's going to be really hot here again today. So we'll probably not do much except get some pool time in.

And I have an old laptop that I haven't been able to power up for awhile. Think that I may make a trip to the computer man. And this laptop has been shutting down irregularly, so I bought myself a new backup system. Works like a charm...nice and easy which is what I need!

Need to do spend some time in the gallery, do some grocery shopping, some more school shopping...
 
good morning ladies!

just hanging out in th camper today. ugh! i was supposed to have the truck but dh decided it might storm and took the truck anyway so we are stuck. it isn't as hot as yesterday so that is nice. even with ac i was roasting. i have been getting some continuing education done though so that is good. i'm getting the hang of internet on my phone although it is still a pain. so no ramblings. i have been trying to scrap though which has been nice. haven't been sleeping well though. we have helicopters fly over us all night long. very annoying. i can sleep through it but dh can't so he's been tired and cranky.

chris - so glad to have you back. if i lived by you i'd do the xrays for free. so would dh. that stinks. i hope kitty feels better sooon. i hope you have an awesome fri the 13th.

lindaS - yay for another day off. i hope it cools down for you and you can get everything you need to get done, done.

laurie - enjoy your agenda free day. sounds like you re doing exactly what you are supposed to for vacation. love it.

ona - sounds like you used your friday well with lunch and cake. i sure hope your dog is okay. keep us posted.

Hey everybody!
I feel so bad for you, Clara, sitting in the camper! I wish I could go scoop her up and bring her here out of the heat. Alas all I have is a truck so there's not enough room for everybody and also I am super busy getting homework done. The homework isn't due till Sunday, but I want to finish it all today because we should have Vince home soon (not sure when) and I want to be ready when he gets here. VERY exciting, very nerve-wracking.

I also had a really awful day yesterday with Genny. She's been having these HORRIBLE meltdowns lately, every time she doesn't get her way. And if you know 3 year olds (actually she's nearly 4), that's all the time. Now these are not like normal toddler temper tantrums, she screams like she's being skinned alive and it's just about more than I can take. Especially when I have to bodily hold her down and prevent her from whatever it is she's trying to do. I have been working at getting services for her all summer, and it's just not working. Yesterday I had an appointment with EFMP, who are the people who decide what she is eligible for- now this is an appointment I had to wait three weeks for, and all they did was take my paperwork. Also, I found out that I needed paperwork from the school, which I did not bring because I didn't know I needed it, and it's from last year before her diagnoses were updated so it's not current anyway, but now I have to bring that back at some time. On top of that, she was trying to pull a phone off the wall the whole time, shrieking and punching me in the waiting room. All the other parents were giving me the stink-eye, and I'm like- "Lighten up, people, this is the SPECIAL KIDS area!"
Anyway, I felt like I cried all day yesterday. That plus being pregnant, plus waiting for Vince.

Glargh.

Anway, gotta get this homework done, and then tomorrow I'm going to a meeting at church and meeting Clara in person! YAY! I love our Wives of Warriors meetings anyway, it's so nice to be with a bunch of supportive ladies. Kind of like here at the O!

Chris-Good kitty vibes coming your way! Hope it all works out for you and your feline pal!

Laurie- hope you are having fun! My husband has old female pals at home that are like that. Not even cousins, but they've known each other all their lives. Last time we went there he was wrestling one of them and I was like... yargh. I trust him, but it's still no fun to watch.

Ona- I just love seeing Gandalf on your avatar! Makes me feel like everything's going to be alright! LOL Hope you slept well, and Chewie is okay! That's scary!

Linda- hope your day off is great! I have a laptop that needs to go to the doctor too. Poo.

Clara- see you tomorrow! Unless we hear from Vince before then!

Ona - I hope that your poor dog did not get a desease from that darn tic :pray: Our pets become like members of our family and we love them so much, its hard to see them get sick!!

Chris I hope that you kitty will be ok, so glad you had some time off, but you are right it goes by too fast and it's never long enough.

Laurie - So nice not to have a planned day! Too bad you forgot your CD, you could be posting some more of your wonderful layouts for us to drool over!!

LindaS - enjoy your day off and try to stay cool at the pool :thumb:

Clara - sorry that you are stuck at the camper again today, hope that you and DH can soon get better sleep time :sleep: and can be done with the crankyness. Hope you get to more permanent living arrangement soon :hug:

Today I am off to the hospital to have my bone density test and then spend the rest of the day with my DD, I only have her home until the 25th and then she is flying back to Ontario. I probably won't see her again until January when we are all getting together and spending a week in Orlando and Disneyworld, this will be our Christmas gift to each other, our son DIL and grandkids will also be joining us. It's a long way off but I am already so excited about it :party: Oh by the way I heard through the grapevine :gossip: that Nana Linda is home Welcome back Linda!!!

Andrea- we must have been posting at the same time. Sorry you are having a difficult time with your Genny :hug: But so nice that you get to spend time with Clara :thumb: Have a wonderful time together!
 
Hi ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have missed you!!! But instead of playing here, I have been working on my tan instead!!!

So, it was a nice vacation.....I had fun with the kids for sure...and loved meeting Clara and her most ADORABLE children!!! They are every bit as precious as Clara has always told us!!! We did a lot of chatting which was really awesome!!! I have some pics, hope to get them posted this weekend. The first few days, the weather was about perfect for the beach...but the last couple of days...oh I don't think I have ever been in such smothering humidity!!!! Cameran was not thrilled with the SALT water of the ocean...he had a hard time with his eyes. Savannah on the other hand, she LOVED the ocean...kept crawling right in and face first in the water!!!

Cameran ended up with a killer ear infection....yesterday morning he got up in a lot of pain and some really nasty stuff ooozing from his ear....so they headed back after lunch and 10 minutes before they got home (a 7 hour drive) he threw up all over the car. She took him to the Dr this morning. We left last night...slept late today and I have been cleaning and washing this afternoon.

Tomorrow...Jaiden's Birthday party!! YAY!!! She is two!!! Traci is doing great....I guess she is young and just can deal with it all....she stayed with my Mom for three days...and then she and the kids went home. It's really hard to keep her calm and quiet....she has to be on the move all the time ~sigh~ I guess she is healing okay!!

Chris....glad you got away!!! and yes, it is NEVER long enough!! Sorry your kitty is still sick!! and I have never had anything bad on Friday the 13th...but my parents were married on Friday the 13th, and so were my grandparents...so it must be a good thing in our family!!

Laurie...I must go to FB and check out your collages...I hope you are having a great time!!!

Ona....Happy Bday to your grandson!!! and lunch sounds awesome!!! AND WOW YOU ARE UP LATE!!! Sorry about your Chewie!!!! I hope all is okay there too!!! GET SOME SLEEP!!

LIndaS....YAY for days off!!! Sounds like you have it well planned!! ENJOY the pool!!! We just love the water!!

Clara....Hi sweetie!!! I still have to say I wish we could have had some more girl time together!!! I guess with my family along, it's hard to do!! We will get our girl time in soon...4 hours between us, meet in the middle and that says WEEKEND FUN!! But I just love your kids (and you too)!! and I love that they were calling me Nana too!! Cameran had a blast with Ethan....and tell him thank you so much!! And give Addie some fish kissed for me!! Have fun with Andrea tomorrow!!!!

Andrea....How exciting that Vince will be home SOON SOON SOON!!! Poor baby...I am sorry Gen is having such a hard time!! It sucks about the Summer services!! Doesn't really make sense....the needs don't stop!!! And as for the paperwork from last year...what are computers for??? Geeez!!!

Trudy....thanks for the welcome sweetie...it's good to be back :hug: how did your test go??? and yay for DD being there....I know you hate to see her go, but WHAT AWESOME plans for January!! That will be a fantastic trip!!

Better run start dinner....
 
evening all - went on a boat tour of Lake Placid and now know where hollywood decides to settle for privacy! Many of the places have 5 car boat garages and no land access- saw a place with it's own 13 acre island that you could rent ( well someone one with $$$ could) for only $11,000 per week! Fun to see, got more great pics of bees on flowers today. Also saw the olympic skating rinks and watched some skaters practice. Lots of sun and walking and food. Don't worry Trudy, my cd is just in the car, I am just too lazy to get it, maybe tonight or tomorrow night!

Clara- hope you get to have good night sleeps for all soon.

Andrea- hope you get Genny settled soon, tantrums are no fun- any safe place you can put her to have the tantrum?

Nana Linda- sigh- the end of your tanning vacation! Mine tanning part starts tomorrow!
