Where the heck did that last week go?? Has anyone seen it?? I need it back!

Long day yesterday- somewhat successful with the shopping.I can cross off 2 of my friends kids, the dogs, the cats, and a couple of small things for my kids. Plus a few things I need for baskets..... but no where near what I need to get done.

Another busy day here today and tomorrow. Caitlyn is helping at the school's Santa B-fast and I have to get her over there soon. Then I have a zillion errands to run in town. F-W's stuff to still do, clean and decorate the house.

Remember when I told y'all that my ex BF/BFF got in touch w/ me a month ago? We have been emailing every day, having a blast catching up. Well, he and his wife are coming over tomorrow. So excited!

I have to get back for personals in a bit, but I really need to get Cait out of the shower now, so I can get in!!

BAD thing about that...we were suppose to move Traci today ~~sigh~~

It's 33 degrees and pouring snow, and it rained last night....so moving is postponed...

I was up at 5:30...so I jumped in the gallery...left a lot of love in there...I think I may reach my posting goal this weekend...LOL!!! maybe that should be my silent goal for the weekend!!! :p But since we have to stay in...I am going to try and get as many challenges done as possible....I think if I get myself all caught up by the end of the week I can not feel guilty the next couple of weeks getting prepared for Chrismas!! I was planning to put my tree up next weekend, since we were busy this weekend...but I may just go ahead and do that today too!!

Hmmmm...decorating for Christmas....scrapping...commenting....sounds like a PERFECT weekend!! LOL!!!!!!!

I am in Savannah withdrawals!!! I am so used to having her everyday...I haven't seen her since Monday in the hospital!! But she is at home recovering very nicely...so I guess I will get my fix on Monday!! I am just not a typical Nana....If I have to go more than a couple of days without seeing those little turkeys, I MISS them!!!! I am really geared up and excited to do our "under the tree photos" this year...especially with my new camera...which I have had VERY little time to play with...another item for my weekend list!!!

Okay...I am need of more coffee...I will check in a little later!! and do some personals too...I am sure I will be here often today!! all weekend!!:p
 
Good morning ladies. We've spent the morning at my niece's basketball games while Brian showed a house. Then he met us for lunch at Subway and now I'm hoping to get some scrapping time in.
 
Linda, you sound like my folks. They live for time with their grandkids. Fortunately for them, they live across the driveway from my brother and his family...and a mile from us. They were at the ballgames with us this morning. Tonight, we'll all join up again at my nephew's basketball games.

And they never get too much of it! Amazing!
 
awwwwwwww wow!! SNOW Linda!! I am soooooooo jealous!! :) Its like 90 degrees F today so its very HOT!!! can you send me some snow please!!!! sounds like you are going to have a terrific weekend indoors though!! have fun!!! :)

Chris, yikes, meeting up with the ex!! you will have to tell us how all that goes!!! and at least you have STARTED your xmas shopping, I haven't bought a card yet!! LOL!\

LindaS, how lovely that your parents live so close, and what a lovely Christmas its going to be for all of you after your mother's trauma's a few months ago!! My DH's 84yr old mother discovered a lump in her breast about a month ago, while it was cancerous it was not the aggressive type and shehas been and had an operation where they removed the lump and a lymph gland. She's had a meeting with the surgeon/specialist and they are happy with the results and no extra chemo is needed. So its all good for us as well and we are looking forward to having a happy Christmas with her!

Well, I might just slide away (very sweaty) and go and sit on the verandah where there is a lovely breeze happening!!

Well since we are talking about Grandparents...

I woke up and spent the morning helping my grandma with a bit of Christmas shopping and getting her Christmas tree for her. We did some shopping at JCPenny's for my brother then went to Hallmark to pick out a view Vera bags for my mom and aunt. Then headed to Pizza Hut to grab some food to bring back to my brother & "other brother" (his friend who basically is a brother). Then went to get the tree.

As for distance, she lives on my street, (we live in the country so it isn't right across the street but pretty dang close and within a 5 min walk).

Then I've spent the rest of my afternoon basically just scraping ;)

(I haven't done any Christmas shopping myself yet)
 
Hello Ladies! Today was a good day. Busy but good. This morning started with yelling kids and cats going poo but then I got up and it was all good. My brother randomly showed up and hung out for a little bit, I ordered my Christmas cards and made a plan for my day. I took Ethan shopping then went out to see a movie with my neighbor. We went and saw Everything's Fine. Wow!! Very depressing movie. I thought it would much more of a feel good movie...not so much!! Wish I would have seen Blindside instead. Oh well.

I feel weird today...off a little. I forgot my allergy meds today and had trouble breathing so I'm guessing that has something to do with it. Tomorrow is Addie's actual birthday party. that should be fun. It is at the children's museum that is local. I am hoping to meet Dawn aka CreateWings there but her and her family have been sick. So, we'll see. It is a fairy princess party and Addie is going to dress up. It will be great.

Well, I am going to get myself to sleep. I feel like I am rambling strangely. I'll chat later.

I am turning into the Grinch and I haaaaate it! Waaaah! I am so incredibly scattered, and it is taking me twice as long to do anything b/c all I do is walk in circles wondering what the heck I am supposed to be working on.
It is making me cranky- and on top of that, I am not sleeping, which makes me even Grinchier.

Linda W- ack! it snowed here too!! We got about 2-3" it looks like- it looks like it is packing down quickly. I was hoping to decorate yesterday but that never happened. Would have been a perfect day to do so.
Are you going to be able to move Traci today? Hope you get to see all of your babies- big and small- soon!

That is great news about DH's mom! My SIL and I are taking my mom for her first mammo (my situation finally got her off her butt to do it) tomorrow morning. We keep telling her that early detection is the key. So happy for your family!

Elisa- awwwww that is so nice about your grandma. I miss mine. Well, I miss the one, the other one was the one that didn't like me, no love lost. But my mom's mom- oh we were so close, I adored her. She passed away 2 months before my wedding, It was horrible. it was hard for my family last week. My mom grew up about 1 mile away from Kathy (SIL) and her family. (And about 2 miles away from Gary's family- how cool is that!). Our three families are all tied up together in good ways in our history, even tho none neither Charley or I met our spouces until we were adults. Kinda cool. But treasure your g-ma! I know you do :)

Clara- sounds like a normal morning in my house- but I have cats and dogs pooping LOL
What was that movie about? Sounds like it should be nice, from the title. Hope that you feel better- don't forget your meds!

I better get going, gotta finish a couple more F-W's products, clean and decorate the house and then get ready for my friend to come over.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't visited in a while. Life has been busy. I'm popping in to ask for prayer for my dad. His name is Richard. He is in the hospital and fighting a severe infection and they are having trouble keeping his temperature down. He is disoriented and so weak.

Any good vibes you can send his way will be greatly appreciated.

Good morning ladies!!!!!!!!

Well the sun is out and shining BRIGHTLY!! But it is cold!!!!! Brrrrr!!

We did have snow all day...they say it would have been about 3 or so inches on the ground...but it stayed around 34 or 35 degrees and it was mixed with rain...so we had SLUSH instead!!! YUCK!!! Cameran was a bit disappointed that he could not go out and play!!! ... today it's just one big puddle outside that froze overnight and now is thawing a bit....

So we did not get to move Traci :( but we will try again next weekend!!!

I did get my Christmas tree up....YAY!!! I usually do it the first weekend in Dec...so we are on task...but I usually take it down quick after Christmas...I am really tired of it by then!! I was not too motivated to do it yesterday, BUT....my little man Cameran called me around 11 and asked if he could come over and help put it up!!! DD put hers up the night before so he was ready to do some more....NOW HOW COULD I SAY NO??? So we went to pick him up and he went up in the attic with me and we got everything down...HE HAD A BLAST...but OH MY...only MY grandson can take Christmas ornaments and have them WRESTLE each other before they get hung on the tree!!! LOL!!! I wish my video camera had been charged!!!!

So I lived in the gallery yesterday too....I made it my mission to give some love to every page that came through yesterday!! I don't think I missed any ~~ patting self on back ~~...and I swear I got so much inspiration...my faves folder is about to blow up!!! I wish I had the time to do this all the time...but that is just not possible!!! LOL!!! I was so into commenting and drooling over the gorgeousness, I never scrapped a page myself!!! Finally last night I managed to start my O Scraps Creative Layout, and finished it this morning...but I would not have made the page I did had I not gotten some inspiration from the gallery yesterday!! WOOT!!! YAY for the gallery!!!

Okay...I am going to get another cup of coffe...yes it is noon, but I need some more!!!

I will be back in a minute to do personals........
 
Chris.....I am sending my FW order this week...you already have what I am ordering...I just need to pay....YIKES!!! I have sent money to my paypal...so it should be funded in a day or two....Sounds like a great shopping trip with your brother!!! YAY!!! and PROPS to Cait for helping with the Santa Breakfast!! That is awesome...I love her!!! and oh that is wonderful and exciting about you old BF coming over today!!!!!!! I hope that all goes well and you guys have a great time!!!!

LindaS....Oh I remember the Saturday morning Basketball...both of girls played...LOTS of games through the week too...That was my fave sport that my girls played!!! Girls basketball is exciting...they are so SCRAPPY!! Awesome that your family lives close!!! I can't imagine if my kids moved far away!!! I guess I would get used to it...probably NOT!!!!!!!! I love family!!!!!!!!

ONA!!!!! YOU CAN HAVE THIS SLUSH!!! It would definately cool you off!! I have to giggle because everytime you mention how hot it is right now, I just have such a hard time picturing this right now!! I am so very happy that things turned out so well for your MIL!!! Thank goodness she was able to get through without any evasive methods!!! and now she gets to have a great Christmas!! I will be watching the gallery tonight...I have said it before, but I love Sunday nights in the gallery, because Ona is always loading us up with her gorgeousness she created over the weekend!!

Morning...I mean, Afternoon, girlies!!! I'm hanging out here upstairs in our FAB media room (aka playroom) watching the Texans fight Jacksonville...*sigh* someday we'll have a real football team...when we all grow up!! LOL!!!

Tonight is BRT's (Brazos River Turnaround) first Christmas gig for the month. We have 3!!!! I'm sooooo psyched!! This is what i wanna be when I gorw up (as you all know cause i am always talking about it!!LOL!!) so to be able to perform three times in December with this awesome band is such a great start for us!! And this particular set is christams Jazz, so I'm getting my "Diana Krall" and "Nina Simone" on!! :) love love love this!! This afternoon, I'm just gonna rest and scrap while waiting to go to the gig!! Ohhhh and I'll have to figure out what I'm gonna wear, too!! Hopefully, I'll remember the camera so Cora can take pics. fun, fun, fun!!!

Chris, i agree with lindaW...no GRINCHING!! LOL!!! I'll sing extra loud tonight to put you in the holiday spirit!! :) hugs, babe!!

Linda, you are such an awesome Nana!! I know my mom and my mil have big time withdrawls if they don't see the grandkids on a regular basis, too!!! i LOVE living close to the kids' grandparents!! it's such a blessing. Enjoy your perfect weekend, babe! !:)

Oh Chris, I'm sorry that you are feeling funky. I can sure understand it though with everything that has been going on for you lately. Glad that you and your SIL are taking your mom for the mammogram. Ona and I can both testify to how important it is.

Ona, I'm so glad to hear that your MIL is getting along so well! We both have blessed families this Christmas!
 
Elisa, it sounds like the relationship that I had with my Grandma. She died 3 days before my 30th birthday and I still miss her so much! She never got to meet Brian. That makes me sad. And how she would have loved her great-grandchildren.

For now, I'm grateful for each day that my parents are given! For that gives my children and my nieces and nephew that much more time with their grandparents.
 
So Friday night I came home in such a good mood. Only to be greeted by Brian telling me that Shaun got caught cheating on a spelling test! Are you kidding me? He is in 1st grade and he's cheating! He told me that he didn't want to talk about it! Well, guess what, I did want to talk about it!

So Shaun lost all of his TV for the weekend. He did eventually apologize and was very remorseful! So I'm hoping that he has learned a life lesson. I think that I'm going to be totally worn out before we get through all of the life lessons. :-)
 
Hi ladies, Just stopping in to say hello! Got a little bit of snow, not alot at all, just enough to be pretty, And Nico learned to say snow, which is so cute!
