Chris - Check in please! (and other Northeasterners!)

Hi all i am in central NJ and have had no power since yesterday at 8 pm but gassed up generator today and so far so good. My husband has no clue when he can get to work as all the mass transit bus, rail and subway are down that is really is the worst for all who commute into NYC. Hopefully the busses will run soon and that will probably be his best bet. While we lost no tree all our neighbors did so my whole town is dealing with power outages and the roar of generators fills the air. There will be no Halloween in my town this year so sad for the kids. The shore was devastated but our gov Christie is blunt and to the point and should be interesting with Obama visiting. Thanks for all the kind thoughts for those of us in the northeast
 
Oh I don't know the thread exist ... my thoughts and prayers with you all may this Sandy go away soon! God protects and stay save!!
 
Nancy, I am so glad that you are ok!!! Your DH has to commute into NYC? Ugh- sounds like that isn't going to happen for a while. The last update I saw was that only the Water Taxis were running. Its unfathomable.......

Thank you all of my O-Fam! Its been so incredibly sad. Many of my friends have been posting Shore photos from vacations and all. And to see the utter ruin in comparison.... I can't even describe it.

I agree. It's so important to try to focus on the good things in life.

I heard the sun is shining again this morning! WOOHOOO ... what an awesome God we have!!! Glad to hear that it's all gone now ... :)
