always chatty at the O!!
So, I know I put a post like this up before but I have a new story. So, let me start by saying I am not a prude. If someone thinks selling a product with sexual ideation...then by all means...go for it. Free country and all that.
So, there is a coffee shop (remember I live in Western Washington where there is a coffee stand on nearly every corner) in the parking lot where my son has Taekwondo. It used to be called Buck shotz but has now turned into a place called Body Shotz. Again, I really don't care about this so much. It opened as this type of place over the fall/winter last year. They started with Boy-style underwear and t-shirts. No problem. As the weather has gotten nicer their clothes have gotten skimpier. I still have no problem with this. They stay in their little shack and sell their coffee. I prefer to take x-rays with my clothes on so I will do that and they can sell their coffee with little clothing.
So today I go to drop Ethan off at his TKD day camp and I look over and see the barista walking across the parking lot, in front of my 6 year old son, in lacy black bra and panties with her hair all poofy in a trashy sort of way to go along with the whole look. I looked at the camp director and asked "Seriously?" She told me that the TKD owner has contacted the coffee stand owner asking if they can cover up when they go to their supply closet across the parking lot but obviously he didn't seem to care. So, I got out of my car and asked her if in the future when she chooses to walk across the parking lot infront of my 6 year old that she cover herself up. I am just amazed that any sane person would think it appropriate to walk through a parking lot without clothes on. Would this same person wear a bikini to go grocery shopping?
What kills me is places like Hooters, where they wear shorts and short T-shirts do not allow their employees to wear their uniforms outside of the building, PERIOD!!! Mostly for safety reasons, but still. I am just amazed. Wow!!!! I need to make some phone calls today to 1. see if that is even legal with them being so close to a children's facility and 2. I want to call the owner of the building that they all lease from.
The lady I wasn't quite yelling at said she would cover up, but who knows if she actually will. She just kind of nodded her head.
Okay...I am out of steam and my rant is over. I think I need to go next door to the fully clothed coffee shop.
