I've been bingeing this on Netflix, and got to the end of Season 5 so I'm a few episodes behind now, but wondering if anyone else here watches? It took me a couple tries to get into it, but once I did - Wowee, I couldn't stop watching! Love the love story!

I am more into the books, have been reading them for years now and just couldn't get into the TV show, the Claire on screen wasn't the Claire in my head......... Jaime was okay though, but no............. And of course, the TV series just left so much of the book out, which is totally understadnable, given how BIG the books were! lol! So nope, have just about finished the last book of the series to date so just enjoying that. :)

Read all the books and yes watch the series! Love all the characters, even though some are not they way I envisioned them. They have strayed from the books with the show, but like Ona said, the books are so big it would be impossible to show everything! I do have a hard time getting into any other books now, the Outlander series of books ruined other reading for me LOL.

I first watched it on Netflix/Starz for the first 4 seasons then saw season 5 on time :) I had to have the books and oh man if you love the series on Netflix, you will love the books as they are more in depth, plus the side books of Lord John etc.. absolutely wonderful.. I have all the books!

I've been kinda wanting to start it..I'm a huge historical romance fan but I've never liked the idea of waking up in another time storylines lol..

HUGE Outlander fan! I get Starz just so I can watch the series when each new season comes out, then I cancel, lol. I just bought the most recent book but I'm currently rereading the last few books first to get caught up before I tackle it.

I love the series too and read them as they came out originally. I found when binge watching the TV show that I started getting depressed by it so had to take a break. I completely forgot how much tragedy there was in the books with them being so long and spread out. Although I do think the tv series is really beautifully made!

I am usually a big reader, but lately my stress relief has been scrapping, so TV is on in background ... it works, but I'm reading less.

I am a huge fan of the books and show. I have to listen to the books, the books themselves get too heavy to hold haha!! I have about 15 hours left in the newest book in the series.
we are all up to date with watching the seasons that are available not on Starz. I borrow the DVDs from my library which is earlier than they are on Netflix.
ITA with Vicki about binging them, in the first season, there were episodes where I couldn't breathe the entire time. And one episode in particular my DH went wandering in the kitchen a while LOL

Books vs movies/TV-- the books are always better. Aside from Lord of the Rings. I could not read those books. I tried but gave up.

I have the books themselves @faerywings but I also have them on my Kindle. There's nothing like sitting down to a good book, a cup of good cofee, snuggles under a quilt by the fire when it's cold. It's like time with your best friend. But I also like to read in bed without having to get up to turn out the light and on the go, so my kindle is excellent. We will wait until the season is finished and up then get a month's pass on Amazon for Starz then binge watch thm all. I love them more every time I watch them!
