Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects a creative page or design concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 08.11.23 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: On Saturday the AnnaTeam posts a creative concept from the Anna gallery as the ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

I Love Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge by isDK

A majestic sky dominates I Love Alamosa National Wildlife Refuge by isDK. A field of grass grounds the imagery and creates a play ground for isDK’s artistry. The focal image has been masked and torn to reveal a soft sandy surface. A window framed image continues the blues of the sky and adds an eerie glow of neon lights at night. Images and tags add charm and details to the design. A calendar page documents the dates of the trip. Is the black bird another image from the trip or a creative design device to balance the composition? The black bird, black tape, and black windows flow across the double page design. The metal accents, buttons, and charms add dimension and add to the soft blues, greys, and gold of the photo. Gorgeous balance and harmony are achieved with the elements and soft color tones that are used throughout this journaling artistry.

Thanks for the challenge and for picking my page. Wow! I had forgotten I made this. I still love this refuge and my page today happens to also be from there. I didn't want to distract from the right page, so all of the elements are in that lower left corner.

A dust in this great universe
I liked the somewhat mysterious atmosphere of the isDK's page and the color scheme. I have this image for a long time, it is unusual and seemed perfect to create the atmosphere of the whole. I used a lot of Anna's textures which I then accentuated with the beveled filters in particular. Only 3 elements are not from Anna.
