On Tuesday we waited for sunrise at Alamosa NWR. It was 43 degrees as we watched a golden eagle in very low light. Later, we enjoyed a big field of wild irises and saw the bittern again. I had a thing about the many cattails and chased after a family of Canada geese as they maneuvered to evade us.
Love your page and your design. We are seeing so many signs of widespread drought. It makes me even more appreciative of that quiet mood of your quote and especially that green we don't see so much.
On Monday we "fixed" our seat belts so we could jump in and out of the Jeep every minute or two, and we shut off the engine so we could hear more birds. Remember how we were the only ones on the road and we'd stop right in the middle. How we had to leave when my arms got tired.
