First I'm drawn to the watercolor effect with so many wonderful colors and shapes, and then the hummingbird and flower, and the fish with the daisy. The fish makes me smile, and I go back around and marvel at the lovely balance.

Monte Vista NWR Sunday sunrise was just a red ball. Even as the haze dissipated some, the lighting was soft. Walking by the small ponds, a small herd of deer stopped running to watch us. We scared up an avocet as we explored east of their island, but there just weren't many birds.
