I love to blend papers, so most of my LOs I do that. Same her - paper 18 over paper 17 in darker color mode. Lots of paint and accents build up from the background for interest and texture. Where possible, I have used the hand-drawn elements for continuity. Journaling reads: I am the woman I...

    Daily Ooos: Thursday, January 6

We had a lot of snow today - at least for us. People lose their minds here when it snows. They forget everything they ever learned about driving on it and strip the stores right down to bare shelves because they might have to stay home for a day or two. Sometimes it's funny - until someone...

    Just-For-Today.jpg

For the background I blended paper #6 over paper #9 For the remainder of the LO, I used various illustrations - some extracted, others not with the two larger ones clipped to two of the photo masks. Then I simply layered on elements and blended other illustrations beneath them until it looked...

Daily Ooos: January 1-2: Weekend/New Year Edition!

@taxed4ever I ask myself that all the time. Mine are only 23 and 27 but I was 38 and 44 when I had them but I still look at them and wonder where those sweet little boys went. They are wonderful young men, but I miss the little boys so full of wonder and delight!

    Masking Question

I do use paint as a mask on a regular basis and love the look of it. I think maybe I just overthink this. With DIP it wasn't easy to use masks because all you could do was fill them, but that's probably the same this. The photo edge were are built in, though, and I loved that!

@tanteva That pendant is a hoot! I've got to get me one. Not wrinkly yet, but at 67 that may not be far away! Thanks for a great laugh - Justin loved it too!

Daily Ooos: January 1-2: Weekend/New Year Edition!

I was up until 6 am! We had some really strong storms last night and it was better to stay up late than got to bed, just get to sleep and have to get up if the tornado watch turned to warning, which it did, but by-passed us, thankfully. My heart went out to all the folks in Mayfield, Dawson...

    Wheel of Time Fans?

Wow, how did you manage that, Ona? When the Sword of Truth Chronicles was made I was UBER disappointed with their choices. They didn't get anyone right! The story line was wrong, too. I think they really did a bad job. But I liked LOTR characters from the beginning, although I really only...

Esther, this is fabulous! It's artistic and makes fabulous use of negative space. It appears simple to achieve with minimal ornamentation but it's deceptive. Beautifully done!

Wow! This is dramatic and beautiful. It puts me in mind of Mucha's Art Nouveau style with the fluid movement and positioning of the woman. Well deserved Standing O!

My son and I have re-read Outlander multiple times. We just cancelled Starz, but once the new season of Outlander is finished we will get a one month subscription through Amazon and binge watch.
