What Do You Do on New Year's Day?

That sounds lovely! Wish my family was that close!

    Wheel of Time Fans?

I do agree on that, Claire is not what's in my head, nor are Brianna and Roger. Where are Roger's brilliant green eyes? But Jamie? Wouldn't kick him out for eating crackers in bed! He's well-cast. My oldest son is watching both series with me. I gave him the books as he got old enough for...

Ona, that's a wonderful idea, the art journal page. Maybe someone will make a kit - hint, hint!

What Do You Do on New Year's Day?

Sounds like fun. I love football in person. I'll watch it on TV but it loses something in the translation.

What Do You Do on New Year's Day?

We used to do fireworks but so many of our neighbors do them now that we just sit back and watch!

Love, love, love this! The symbolism of the multiple clocks inferring the passing of the old and beginning of the new iw wonderfully done. Love this palette, too!

    Masking Question

I'll have to play with this to understand how to set the parameters. More fun! Thanks!

What Do You Do on New Year's Day?

I love that. Sounds like a good reason to let the laundry go. Must add that to my list!

A fellow genealogist!. I'm not credentialed yet, but I did earn my MA in History in 2016, almost as good with a good reputation for quality work attached. I would love to do it professionally when I retire, hopefully later this year. I love the look you've achieved here - great use of paint...

    December 2021 Standing O's

One more for today then I'll hush for awhile! This LO by @scrap-genie is so cool. Great extraction, use of paint, and stamps/brushes. This LO is deceptively simple in appearance, but there's a lot of work here. More than that, this is what scrapbooking is all about - she shares a story with...

What Do You Do on New Year's Day?

Yeah, I don't go out much on New Year's Eve any more, either. Used to love it when I was younger, but always liked to be able to stay the night wherever I celebrated so I didn't have to brave the craziness outside. When I was stationed at Burtonwood Army Depot in Cheshire, England (it was RAF...

    Masking Question

I am relatively new to PS, well sort of. I was dragged kicking and screaming from Digital Image Pro when Microsoft decided Windows 10 did everything it's premier graphics program did. DIP did a lot of things PS does with only a click. PS is often not that friendly and sometimes it hates me...

    Improved Scrapping Setup

You will love it. After I got my second one at work I wondered how I ever lived without it like I did once I got my serger. How did I ever sew without it and all those neat, tidy edges? My second monitor is actually a 32-inch Vizio smart TV. When I'm working on something that doesn't require...

What Do You Do on New Year's Day?

My Mom used to say, "What you do on New Year's Day is what you will do on New Year's Day!" So, we hedged our bets. We: worked a little played a little watched the Tournament of Roses Parade watched football watched a favorite show or movie in between ate black-eyed peas and hog jowl with...

Must see's in Amsterdam, Paris or London

In London you could also do a walking tour - they do one of historic pubs and another of London's famous prisons that includes the Tower and the Clinque. they also do one of the Great Fire that Samuel Pepys witnessed and wrote about in his diary. The Crown Jewels and the Armory at the Tower...

    Wheel of Time Fans?

The books are captivating. Jordan, like Terry Goodkind and Diana Gabaldon, takes the time to develop the lands and the characters. So far this series does a pretty good job of sticking to books. The filming locations are magnificent and in one of the areas my ancestors are from.

    December 2021 Standing O's

OK, there are just so many great LOs in the gallery but this LO by @TrishD jumped up in my face shouting "Here I am!" The symbolism is wonderful - the Grinch! Add to that the sweetly simple design and restraint on elements and the LO just speaks to me!

I love the stistry here. The framing on the photo is perfect. The effect is simply amazing especially when coupled with the B&W photo. I must give this a Standing O!
