I love the faded purple typewriter ribbon color on the spiral pages. Beautiful typography, and the colors. It really feels momentous in an everyday kind of way. ;)
Thanks. We have insurance and it's really only a minor annoyance to have a big crack across the entire windshield. But it's still an owie when you love your ride the way Stone does, and I was kind of teasing him about that. ;)
I love your CMYK colors and how you played them against each other. A lot to say, but so beautifully organized. Also love that there's a photo of you, making your words so much more personal for me.
Love this. I wasn't around in 1930, but parts of Colorado still looked a lot like this in 1971 when I moved out from Phila. Love the sketch. Just like my family's NJ turnpike wrecker service garage when I was a kid.
It snowed and the sun was shining as we drove over Vail Pass. Our windshield cracked all the way across after taking a small rock from a snowplow on our trip over. And we had a National Rubber Ducky Day duck. I enjoyed getting a photo of the broken windshield you hated.
Check check and check. Me too. This page makes me smile. It's a wonderful tribute to Walt, but speaks to me too. Love the photos and your reverse masking.
This photo was used on the previous page in my book, "January in Moab," but I didn't expect these colors for the challenge, and the pinks in the morning sunrise got cropped out to work for my page design. I like the same photo showing up again, because it's almost (???) like repetition in a...
For us, photography at sunrise is kind of like a game of musical chairs. We head out with a general notion but nothing specific, no calculation of exactly where we'll be when the sun comes up or where it will pop out from behind a mountain or a cloud. But just like in the game, we stop.
Yes, Artie is just so cute. Love the documentary style with the interesting background photo , the shot into the sun on one photo and the crop on another one.
