I was less dizzy & had so much hope that we even thought maybe I'd be able to dance again at some point. I liked my cardiologist a lot. He said my heart was healthy, and gave me corticosteroids that had to be taken with food, so my new morning thing was 1 oz. of mixed nuts & my pill.
I love these challenges. I started with the elk, some new aA stitchez, and a list of APPs. I randomly pick one and I never know where I'll end up. I always wonder if I had picked the second APP instead of the first one I looked at. ;)
You would probably never in your life forget walking out to start the Jeep and almost tripping over a 6-point bull elk along the way. You looked farther ahead & stopped in your tracks only because he moved. We were his hostages until we figured out the way out around behind the cabins.
I love the photo of the two of you shining like the sun in the round frame, holding the paperwork, and of course the map. I always get so much from the maps.
Love your design and how it gets you thinking. I know that blank pages are full of something, because sometimes I used to open them and turn the pages and something happened. I always have around at least one book with blank pages but try not to be a hoarder of them. :p
Our rule is if we don't have the energy or time to walk to safety we'd better not go, but of course we push that definition and our luck a bit because there's almost always a surprise. We carry lots of water and our Jeep is rigged out with almost everything we keep in our RV. Good luck and DM me...
Arriving at this road made us feel so much safer, and like we had accomplished something big. Still no phone signal and an hour out of Moab, but we had become so aware that our risk on remote trips like this was exponentially higher than just a few years ago.
Our last day in RMNP didn't disappoint. It was a gorgeous morning. The view was amazing and the elk were hungry. There I was, no gloves at 15 below zero, taking photos until my phone couldn't see my cold fingers. I learned the screen works by detecting 'heat' from my finger.
