Wednesday morning was sunny and beautiful, but bitter cold, and we were glad we had planned to stay inside. We had never imagined the wildlife would come to us when we couldn't get out and our view of a forecast of snow before a trip completely changed. It could be amazing.

We knew it would be snow and cold, but then it was eight inches and below zero temps. We grabbed eggs, waffles and butter for day two of the storm. We were glad as we drove the four miles back to our cabin, because the road had started to be treacherous & would only get worse.
