After two months our canna had grown to almost five feet tall and was bearing its first fruit. Wikipedia listed 14 uses for the canna, from food to fiber to dye to insect repellant. Since the eye-level flowers were just outside our door, we got lotsof chances to study them for the first time.
Of course we're a train family, as you know, and your pages made me think of the most meaningful train heritage place we've seen, and we've seen our share. It's Golden Spike National Historic Park at Promontory Point in Utah. You should go! :D
