Beautiful! I love that we go for mobs of birds instead of mobs of people. We've seen the snow geese and tundra swans in northern Utah but we have to drive for 10 hours each way. You are very lucky!
When we saw those night herons on the little island again, and now knew we would be able to find them in the future, we were thankful for our trip to the refuge. There weren't many birds but that tall bird standing above all the others turned out to be a sandhill crane, and they've been gone for...
On Tuesday we were lucky to get about a half hour of sun before it clouded over and looked like it would rain. The yellow-headed blackbird showed off and we saw a lone sandhill crane, but there were very few birds, even less than on Monday. We left the refuge by 6:30 am.
The Highwaymen, a group of Florida landscape artists, painted lots of palm trees and used a lot of red and purple. I liked the white edges on puffy clouds, but our clouds and trees are different. After a while, I connected with the colors (of course) and found a tree to make purple.
This started out to be for the agency challenge, but it wasn't the right flavor. I liked it and couldn't toss it, so I added on the left to make it another double layout.
I've always loved your 4th of July pages, and again you don't disappoint. Love every detail that contributes to the whole sense of patriotism and a festive spirit, and yay for it being yet another joy ride page. :D
