There were no moose in the meadow below Tincup Pass, and there were no tiny sunflowers that I always loved for their perseverence. At our favorite spot down lower, we took a short hike uphill into some forest and found a mix of roses, mushrooms, daisies and much more including some fall color.
I love the cave photos for their amazing forms and colors, but it's the photos of you that do a great job of putting it into perspective. Nice use of the template! :)
It looks like a super fun way to get around and bring lots of stuff. We had a yellow jeep and the only thing was the butterflies and bugs all seemed to think it must be a flower and swarmed around it sometimes. Also love your 'scene'. ;)
Wow. Love your design. Her turtle is small and I love how you made him big on the page, and the pink flowers and your butterfly watercolor spectrum from yellow green to blue is perfect. ;)
I love old cars, but I think maybe the neon signs get my attention even faster. Love the Texaco, and I've ridden in one of those old restored seafoam green bugs. Owned by a friend here in my town. The black and white is good for a break here and there.
On the way over Independence Pass we had climbed to 10,800 feet when we saw a herd of bighorn sheep and stopped. I hopped out and followed them higher up the mountain when they moved, taking photos with my phone. It was a great day at high altitude; the corticosteroids were working.
Our first stop was just south of Freemont Pass at a mine settling pond. We were shocked that the beautiful scenic lake was gone, but the wildflowers were thriving. We also saw more wildflowers at the Climax main site, and I enjoyed a ground squirrel who wasn't spooked by my phone's camera.
