The Stonehenge looks like a nice tribute to my Grandfather's generation, and I love your earthy sunflowers and photos of the two of you tucked into your pages. Those fires are just no fun.
Maybe we'd remember the first day of autumn as the day we finally saw raindrops on the big leaves of the canna lilies. We drove to the south of Denver. Vehicles were too close together. When we tried to get over for an exit and traffic stopped, the big truck behind us got scary close.
Love the photos and the colors. The vibe you've captured so well, and the steps count brings it all back for me to when I'd do it. So glad you documented it, because it's a kind of epic thing.
Your day sounds so perfect and good photos of him. Love how you transitioned from the dark background, which I like a lot, to the black type on white background, which I know is more readable. Good trick for me to work on. ;)
Love the contrast. I go back and see my own smoke photos and nothing brings back a time faster than that smoke will I think. Noticing Oz doesn't smile much when he's focused? :D
Those are fun events. I love the vintage red with the old luggage and I think you managed a great page that tells your story and you learned for next time. Trouble is, you can spend all your time behind the lens if you get every photo you wished for, and even still. I'm thinking maybe never...
Back at the pond, we saw a frog and a dragonfly, and the ripples from other frogs that saw us before we saw them when we got too close. We visited the pond several times a day and I liked it a lot better after I got Pedro to set up the hose so I could clean off all the muddy lily pads.
I always get excited to see a deer, no matter how many I've seem before. I love your photo with the trees in front of him, the torn paper, and how you used the white for your title work. Love everything!
