I loved the Nietzsche quote in Jenn's new kit, because it fit sowell with what we've been pondering recently. We need to be around others who fly high, and we lose nothing by not being seen by the ones below us. I'm glad my University had us read Neitzsche and put happiness first.

There was singing, dancing and laughter of children at the Year of the Dragon festival in Denver, but I was too tired to go. Instead, we started to plan a weekend in Denver at the end of July, to see the Dragon Boat Races. If we couldn't do it in the Year of the Dragon, we never would.
Thanks for the challenge. I had to reflect on this a lot. Are we amateurs or artists, and what does it matter? And how would this phrase work its way into my book of stories? In the end, I decided not to write anything.
For me, art can be political or commercial or just part of who I am, and...
I wanted very much to keep it possible although difficult to read the article about artists. I found it on SkinnyArtist.com, and enjoyed reflecting on it. I edited it to make the typography work, however.
Thanks for the challenge. 2000 was the year the International Space Station got started, so I picked those images. It was a really tough time for us, as my "long Covid" started all the way back then. I designed dies and rubber stamps, and did a lot of paper art, handmade books, and created 3-D...
Day 3 assignment: Flashback to 2000. Ouch. That was a tough time. We don't remember much, but the railroad would give as little as eight hours off for a 2-hour round trip commute plus sleep and other things, but you also might be waiting for days to go again. I had hot flashes.
I'm thankful for all the things that come to us just when we can enjoy them the most. And I bet you won't forget your trip to the hardware store with a broken but not-so-common detachable keyring. The guy offered to help, had exactly what you needed in his pocket, and gave it to you for free.
Thanks for the challenge, Flor. I used a photo that shows the kind of weather we're hoping for in February. We've been having temperatures 15-20 degrees above normal, and wishing for snow. A storm is coming, but might be rain, which is strange to us in winter. ;)
We never used umbrellas, and rain in winter was never a thing for us. Our January temperatures had been 15 -20 degrees above normal, and that was great when it was sun. But at the beginning of February the big snowstorm forecast came with a warning that we might just get rain.
Thanks Vicky for the challenge. I had to think differently, to find a before and after subject for Lynn's collection, so the color play is pretty subtle but is still here. ;) The before and after is my photoshop work. :D
OpenAI said it violated their rules, to make an image to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day. So maybe a tile with a menorah on it? No, they said. Then how about a menorah? Maybe. But if AI makes an 11-candle menorah, I worry that AI is disinformation.

I tricked you into going to Cancun and Tulum, and you liked it so much we went again the following year. Is it less safe now? It doesn't matter. We know I'd run out of gas on the way there. We love our Tortilla Marissa's and even if I don't get Mexican flavors, it's still like a vacation.
Inspired by Joyful Heart Designs new kit. I picked a few things I liked the very most and from there just added as much of the rest as I could to support those first choices. No way a use-it-all kind of a kit! So much in it.
I hope @Natali sees this. I tried to send her a DM but she isn't listed, I love getting her newsletter and especially the extra freebies that go with her collections, but I didn't get this one because the link went to a login screen. ;)
I was inspired by the Don Williams quote in Vicki's "Await" collection. He was a major force in country music, and one of Stone's favorites, although being from Philadelphia I never heard of him until I was a lot older. He was known as country music's “Gentle Giant” for his beautiful warm...
Fourteen below, -14ºF. I like that we get a little bit of cold weather, and was happy to see one brave bunny out foraging for food. It was a long shot, and at first you thought it was a blurry photo, but I studied it and could see that this really was snow on his fur, kind of like in a guy's...
Back at the hotel, when an outgoing friendly young woman from Detroit learned we had been to Pikes Peak. She rode to the 3rd floor on the elevator just to keep asking me questions. She was wanting to take the cog railway to the top. I told her not to be scared and she should go.
