Inspired by Jenn's newest papers and 2024 Pantone color of the year. I just wanted to play and see if I could put an ATC on a page and like the results.
Inspired by the timing of Joyful Heart's release today.
I could tell stories about being a railroad wife, but we made it to 32 years and it was all because of you. Every step of the way. At first I wasn't buying the "'til death do us part" stuff. It was irrelevant after the part that came...
On Monday we saw a lot of elk about 900 feet from our pullout. It was calm at our cabin, but the wind was fierce in Sheep Lakes Valley. We didn't stay but I enjoyed trying to capture the sunlight coming through the trees as we drove directly into the sun returning to breakfast.
Inspired by Rachel's new collection. Her paper had text on the left, so I just substituted my own information about elk migration in Colorado but tried to keep with her design.
Carefully Curated | Unapologetically: The Complete Mixed Media Collection by Rachel Jefferies
Everything we've done and said was about what we loved. Hearts can be imperfect and still beautiful and special. Each one is special. Be kind, and most of all forgiving when we can't do things we used to be able to do. And be proud and joyful about everything we're still able to do.

There were a dozen elk. They watched us while they continued to enjoy their breakfast, and they were all big bulls. Their racks were beautiful, and their hides told the story of the recent rutting season. We were lucky that one was close, but most were at the far end of our focal range.

On Tuesday we got to see some elk up closer. They were on the other side of 34 just west of Sheep Lakes. There was a cloud cover early, so the colors were muted. Later we went to my happy place by the roaring river and saw a bit of blue sky. There had been quite a bit of melting.

I had been playing with my concept for a long time, and already had the muffins on the bed, so I knew it was time to finish this. :D
On Sunday, the trip to Estes Park was gorgeous, with sunshine and snow on the trees. But by the time we got to our cabin, there was quite a bit of melting. As on other trips, we loved the view of sun on tall trees and snow below our window. Fall River peeked through in a few spots.
If we had started with the fix that happened at Y2K, the computer would have never come along in an affordable way for many more years. It more than doubled the storage and halved the speed when nobody wanted or needed it. It's possible the timing and drama were perfect. :D
