When I saw the Pocket Full of Pebbles Mixed Media Collection by Rachel Jefferies and Lynn Grieveson, I absolutely fell in love with this pebble paper designed by Rachel. And I knew I had to make a layout featuring it! I decided to keep the photos and embellishments in a tight area, to let that gorgeous paper breathe all around, so we could really see and appreciate it.
I started with my photos, arranging them into a grid. In Photoshop, I used Blending Options > Stroke to add a 15 pixel white border to the outside of the photos as simple frames. And then I gave them drop shadows to separate them and lift them up above the paper. Then I took my time placing the embellishments and ephemera, by both Lynn Grieveson and Rachel Jefferies in this collaboration, above and below the photos.
