I started this layout a few days ago, trying to fit my photo into two different spring-colored palettes, they just didn’t work. Then when I saw ArtPlay Palette Disquiet, this week’s
On Sale Collection, it couldn’t have been more perfect.
I started with Disquiet Artsy Paper 4 with Disquiet FotoBlendz 1-4, which had a portrait style shape to match my photo. I grouped the fotoblendz layers and clipped the photo to the group, adding Levels and Color Fill (soft blue) Adjustment layers. I masked out the blue tone on Ron’s skin and the gold bell. Embellished with Jazzed Up LoopDaLoop 6-1, with a gold Color Fill Adj. Layer on the bird with Hard Light Blending Mode. Added Disquiet elements lace, baby breath, label word and button (with gold Color Fill Adj. Layer, blend mode Color Dodge, 71% opacity), Button Threadz, WordART plus added text, UrbanThreadz and text box journaling.
Ron rang the bell last Friday after his final injection treatment. Since his diagnosis in 2006, he’s had radiation followed by multiple chemo-like pill regimens. This treatment, Pluvicto (six radioactive injections, six weeks apart), approved last year, came along just in time for him. They have already stopped new patients from starting the treatment, for the time being, due to supply issues. Talk about being Blessed AND Lucky!
