We have pairs visiting here regularly but in my old garden they nested in a plumbago that was used as support for a rosy red rambling rose. The one in the photo is the male. The female is a a brown plain Jane that hardly ever gets attention. I shall have to remedy it and think of a way to show her off.
You must show her off! And then I will lift your layout! We have the same thing here with our Plain Janes. Our rose-breasted grosbeak females are the examples that immediately pop to mind.
