The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hellooo helllloooO!
It is another very Autumn-y morning in NJ again. In other words, I am freezing my butt off, even wrapped in a blanket. It feels and looks like Fall.
When I was scooping the dog poop yesterday, I had to rake through the dead leaves to make sure I found all of it. Everything is so dry and droopy. Makes me sad. Although-- heh-- everything makes me sad lately. My brother called me first thing yesterday to give me an update on my dad. He went out for a drive on Sunday by himself. He wanted to drive past all of his old fishing spots one last time before he gave up his car. Hearing that made me cry-- and again as I type this. I know in my heart it is time, and that it is the right thing being done the best way, by his choice. But dang, it's hard navigating this emotionally. So much harder than I anticipated.
(It's been a very emotional rollercoaster and not in a good way past few weeks)
I was able to get most of the house stuff done by lunchtime, and then I scrapped two pages. One was for Teddi's new mini-kits and the other is for the upcoming Color Play.

Big plans for today are working outside. I want to clean all of the bird feeders that my friends gave to me before they moved and find a safe place to store them. I need to talk to my mom at some point, too. I don't think I am supposed to officially know about my dad's decision so I decided to tread lightly and not call yesterday.
Gary is having a rough couple of days so I want to keep an eye on him too. His blood sugar and Lyme were making him feel pretty awful.

So that's enough from me. Time to wipe my eyes and stuff any leftover emotions back down where they belong.
(Kids: Not recommended. Do not try this at home. :giggle4: )

HAGD!

@faerywings Oh Chris Your chatter makes me what to cry too...I feel so bad for your situation/s. It's tough for your dad I am sure but being his choice should be a comfort to you too. It's so good that he realizes it's time--kudos to him. I'm sure your emotions are running crazy with all that you have going on. So sad your hubby is having a bad time too. Breathe.

@faerywings I hope you can get some scrap time in. I know we were raised work first play later but I hope you can forget that for a little while so you can scrap. I love to scrap in the morning before Jay gets up. We will be home soon so I will have 2 screens and can scrap our trip this summer I hope. I think you should bring out the beachy stuff it will make you happy.
Just remember you cannot be good at everything so what if you are not the Merit Badge pro you are so good at all the the other things that you do!!!!
You are so wise and caring. All very good advice. Thank you ♥
I don't know if I could physically or mentally scrap with only one screen at this point. You must be excited to get back to that.
Are you looking forward to being back home in general?
You are brave to go on the gondola ride. I don't mind heights if I am on something stable- Ferris wheels or skyscraper views don't bother me, but I don't think I'd enjoy a gondola. Although I can imagine the views from the top of the mountain are worth it.

@vickyday OK, then, so after this smoked turkey is gone, you never have to buy it again. Out of stock forever. :floorlaugh:
Hope that you had a fantastic day.

Good morning ladies. We had a wonderful BBQ with friends yesterday and enjoyed sitting outside. This wk is hotter (again) with temps around 90F. Today I'll putter around the house. Might get some scrapping done this afternoon before we head out for the night. A group of us are going for dinner, drinks and bingo.
Sounds like you are feeling so much better, that's fantastic, just be careful with your BP.
I wish we had 90* temps again (sorry to the rest of my fam and friends who hate the heat) but it is going to be in the low 70s all week. I would love to have one last blast of summer. Talk to me in a few weeks if it does get hot again. Last year we had a few days in October that were close to 80.

G&^&$%^#%^$ IT!
Cait just called from the side of the road and her car is making funny noises. Gary and Tom are going to get her now.
*slamming head repeatedly on my desk*

Weekend was good, slow, low key, easy but that was the calm before the storm. This week is crazy crazy and I am not sure I am ready. Its the pre-school cooking every week crazy planning get groceries is the kitchen clean laundry washed volunteers lined up and whew breath baby breath! Then I have to add in that my house and family needs much of the same, groceries, food, planning, school. Speaking of which, kid needs help with his first ever online college class.
Do you want to join me in the cursing and/or head slammimg? LOL!
You got this!!! Just breathe!!!

Good thing we always have wine in the house.
Yes.

I did a similar thing a few weeks ago- when Gray took the dog for a walk and I had no idea. Ran around the house imagining the worst. :p
Glad David was ok.
Good luck and happy new school year to the girls!

Late getting in here today. DD#1 is over at son's house most of this week. They pop in here every day for an hour or so but mainly off to appointments then over at his house. She will stay with me on Wednesday night then I will drive her to the airport early Thursday morning.
Thinking of all of you too. :hug3:
Glad that dd#1 HELPED WITH THE SHEETS AND THAT YOUR SHOULDER IS GETTING BETTER.

(sorry I do not have it in me to type the caps lock...)

:thud:
*fork in me done*

xoxo

Update on the Faery Household's Insanity

Newsflash: The recent issue with Caitlyn's car has been resolved. I repeat, it is all clear. She is currently on her way to work, driving her own car, with an ETA of being no more than 10 minutes late. End of Transmission.

Everyone in my family must be on their last shred of stability at this point. All of us on eggsells.

Gary and Tom get into my car, take off to meet Caitlyn. Within a few minutes, she texts "LMAO, it was a quick fix"
No other word but when Gary got home, I asked where she was and what happened.
She is on her way to work. The ding-dong unknowingly hit a traffic cone, which got caught between the wheel and the wheel well. Gary pulled it out, showed it to her, and left.

IY YI YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

:couchhide:

Give me strength. :praying2:

Aww! So sorry for all of the emotion at play for you lately! :hug4::hug4: How old is your dad?
Be sure and wear rubber gloves when cleaning the bird feeders!
Hope working outside helps your emotional state! Tears are a good thing, BTW! :hug4::heartpumplove:

Just remind her that we ALL do totally dumb things without knowing it!!!

AMEN!!! and AMEN!!! ;)

Quick in and out
Heading to pick up Mark for lunch.
I'll be back later .
Have a great day.....just in case I don't actually make it back in here! ;)

Quick in and out today... have to drop off library books today, do a bit of grocery shopping, and mail some letters. Then back home to work on a few Color Play LOs.

@faerywings Wow... what a crazy day you have had already!! Glad Cait's car issue was such a simple fix. You are wise to wait until the parents bring up your Dad's decision to give up driving.

Off to do my errands. BBL

Just loving this cooler weather. Not to worry, @faerywings , you know there will be more summer heat before fall is truly here. Sometimes September heat is the worst just because "Can't you be finished with this yet!!"

My mom gave me a heads up yesterday that there was a show about Hurricane Sandy on last night, just so, as she says, "you can relive it if you want." Holy cow. I was working at a church in Staten Island at the time, and we were doing storm relief work of all kinds for a couple months. Someone (from far away) donated gasoline to the church and the pastor filled my tank so I could keep coming to work, as there was no place to buy gas in NJ or NY. I remember walking down the street from the church about 4 blocks to the water and seeing the boats tossed way up on the shore. Yeah, I'm not sure I need to relive this but I taped it just in case.

I have got to get some admin work on a couple google accounts I run done today. I wish they'd stop changing stuff. Otherwise, a quiet day, with the biggest task deciding what to take out of the freezer for dinner.

HA! Just opened my Gmail and read this quote from the Almanac email:
"Don't knock the weather: nine-tenths of the people couldn't start a conversation if it didn't change once in a while."
—Kin Hubbard, American humorist (1868-1930)

I have to say that this doesn't apply to us, so the 10% of the people must frequent this thread.....because we can start a conversation about ANYTHING!! ;)

Quick in and out. Have to head out to cards in a few min. Had a long but slow walk in the morning heat with Remi. Jen, D and I all won at bingo last night. So did one of our friends. Fun night!

@faerywings had to laugh at C's traffic cone fiasco LOL. I'm sure G wasn't laughing tho.

Well I finally got MOST of the vacay pages done and posted. I will still do some misc ones, probably, but the most of them are done, anyway!

Today's drive was pretty easy but on traffic jam that took 20 minutes. Well we are in Ashburn GA now at the Georgia Peanut RV Park it's right by the highway so it will be a noisy night I think. We went shopping in the Carroll's Sausage store....well there went $100 but now my freezer is max full!!! A bag of peanuts for snack and a bottle of peach wine for dinner. It's such an interesting store I'm glad I dont live closeby. We have pinwheels for dinner tonight, sausages and gourmet cheese to share with friends when we get back. We leave in the morning for our last campsite for this trip, it's bitter-sweet. We will be home on Friday.

Good Evening! I'm here!!! Its way late and most of you are in bed by now but I made it here!!

Oh Chris, this is so hard. Its much better when they decide for sure but man, what a month you've had. NO wonder youre all over the place and wondering where the brain went.
*slamming head repeatedly on my desk*
How's the desk? Is it dented?? I use to always ask my kids when they hit their head on something (usually table corner) did you damage my table? Or the wall LOL They would look at me like I was nuts. Well, hate to tell them but I am nuts. :floorlaugh:
The ding-dong unknowingly hit a traffic cone, which got caught between the wheel and the wheel well. Gary pulled it out, showed it to her, and left.
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:
This might be the best story ever!!!!!

We went shopping in the Carroll's Sausage store.
Oooohhhhh this sounds like a fun place to shop.

Today was Costco. We hit business Costco and man, there went my left arm, boob and foot. Pretty sure I am flat on my butt broke now. Shopping for church and home is always insane. Hopefully the refund (for 1/3) comes quickly. It was 70° today and we were dying of heat. The wind was blowing but it was weird cause it was warm. We NEVER have warm wind, its always cold. Weird! Now tomorrow we have to get it all put away at church. This week is crazy and busy and and and :sleeping1: I tired.

I've also become and Art Addict Addict!!! Those dang kits lately are amazing. The outdoorsyness of them is so me and I love them.
Well, off to chill. Have a wonderful day/night!
