Guess what it is doing here today? Raining! Yes, more rain! :lol:
It was nice for the most part yesterday- the sun peeked out a bit, no rain, but it was chilly- only got up to 67* -- and this is mid-June. So crazy.
But yup, more rain today.

I did get to go outside for some yard work which was nice. I am trying to move some plants to the front strip on "lawn" by the road. A few years ago, the town repaved our road and there is a asphalt ridge at the edge. They use a lot of gravel instead of salt in the winter and then when plow, it all gets tossed over that ridge and onto my lawn. Instead of trying to get any grass to grow, I am putting in tiger lilies and an indestructible ground cover. I am thinning and transplanting them from other places in my yard. It is probably going to take me a few years haha, but it will look nice when it is done.

Then yesterday, Cait and I went to a new Farmer's Market in town. So exciting to have one! There weren't a lot of vendors, but I am sure it will get bigger as time goes on. I asked the organizers about selling htere, but I don't think it is going to work for me-- very expensive. $30/week and they expect you every week. Plus you have to pay half of your booth rentals up front. Thats more moeny than I have.

But! All is not lost. There is a new shop in town Soul Shine (http://www.soulshinestudios.net/theinnervoiceholidayedition.pdf) and my friend is good friends with one of the owners. She has been telling me that I need to get my stuff in there on consignment. She also told her friend about me and she was very interested. Lazy butt that I am, I haven't made it in to talk to her yet.

But she was there, so I got to meet her, talk to her a bit about my products and she wants my stuff! woot! So after Caitlyn's award ceremony at school today, I am gonna be in the kitchen making up smelly stuff LOL

Ona- hope that you got a good night's sleep last night and had a great Thursay too.

Dawn- LOL at your hair.... I wasn't sure what you meant by under it either- your brian or Davy :lol: As you know, I have hair and head days like that too. Glad your headache eased up.

Sally- hi girl! The LO's from Sue's challenge were amazing!

Linda- so true--- I am typically fast asleep by 10, but if I am out or up later, man, I feel it the nbext day!hahahah! The wrestling sounds fun!! (I know- I can't believe I am saying that either LOL) And so happy that Cameran loved it too, but that is not surprising. Hope you got some pics of him!

Clara- can I say again, you are crazy about this plane thing????
Sorry to hear that things with Cristian went bonkers again, I don't blame you at all for not wanting to do it again. And TY- I totally get the "problem solver"-- I am the same exact way, makes me and my family crazy because it is really had to problem solve Lyme hahahah!!!

Thanks for the good thoughts, and yes, I am atking all of my supplements, and I am sitting under my light therapy lamp -- a friend said- who would have thought you could have seasonal affective disorder in June!?

Morning all!! =)

I went to bed sort of early for me. So I was able to get up and get moving this morning. I've already taken Ben to day care, done breakfast, made my internet rounds and am ready to work out, do some laundry, plan dinner, and pick up a little bit around the house. I like days when you feel like you have energy.

Chris - Sounds like you are in a decent mood despite the rain. It never really did storm here last night as far as I know. It must have went North and the other one that was coming must have broken up before it got here. It's supposed to be hot and sunny today. Some possibilities of storms late tonight and tomorrow, but they've said that for the last few days. Perhaps the storms are skipping over us and jumping straight to you. =) Yippee on your selling stuff! That's awesome! Hope you get a lot of stuff made!

The caterpillars are doing very well. They are moving and eating, so they didn't get fried in the amount of time they were on the porch (or in the mailbox) yesterday. Ben was so excited. He sat on a chair at the dining room table for probably 15 min. looking at the container (that's a lifetime for a 3-year-old) and just kept saying things like, "He's moving over to see his friend Mommy...he's eating Mommy...." Then we read some of the butterfly books I got him and put some of the stickers in the book. It was pretty fun.

It's pretty quiet in here today. Everyone must be busy, busy. I'm excited to have the motivation to clean the house...that doesn't happen that often. =) I'll need to turn on the game at 1 p.m. though. If any of you are baseball fans, the College World Series is the best event in college sports. We love our CWS here (hosted in Omaha for about 59 years) and it's always fun to listen to. Last night's game was a wild one. The underdogs/newcomers and seasoned veterans duked in out in the longest CWS game ever. 12 innings...four and half hours. In the end, I was sad because the underdogs lost, but it was still a good game. Today the ultimate CWS team takes on the winner of that game. So it'll be interesting to see who wins.

And...I need to figure out what to do with our trash. We didn't get it out last week. It's smelly. I didn't put it out last night because it was going to storm. It's smellier. The trash men came HOURS before they normally do today and we missed them. It's REALLY smelly. And it's supposed to be hot the next several days. Ick. If we had more cans, I'd tape the lids on and put them out back under the deck. But we only have one can and between animals getting at it and my paranoid husband (someone might go through it and steal our identity even though we don't ever throw anything with our address away...we have the boxes of "to be shredded" junk mail to prove it), I can't just throw the bags outside.

O.k. that was long winded. I should really go clean now. =)

Good morning. 2 more days. Aaaaah!! I hope the weather holds out. It is supposed to be cloudy on Saturday but no rain. We are supposed to have rain tomorrow after a very long stretch without any. This weather is so weird for us here. usually the only time when we don't have rain is the end of July and August. Very strange but I'll take it. I really am sorry that we've stolen all your weather Chris. Such a strange weather year. I can't get over it.

I saw that my tv was recording and I ended up with the Today show on and there is some guy who has created an eye camera. He's got a fake eye in right now that is glowing red, like the terminator. very strange, although his "eye camera" plan seems very cool.

So, today is definately a coffee day. i spent way too long on the computer last night. oooops. Today may be a coffee day at work though. Hmmmm...big decisions. I always get a chai frap so a coffee wouldn't be so bad on top of that.

Well, Cristian is gone for now. I have this crazy feeling we are going to get a call next weekend asking if we can take Cristian again because his dad only planned on having him a week. It really is too bad. I do enjoy C and his mom but I just feel all used up at this point. We had a nanny for almost 2 years and that is how long it took us to use her up, and we paid her, gave her raises and bonuses as necessary. She just got burnt out. I just can't imagine having anyone watch my kids without doing something to seriously compensate them. Not even necessarily money. We paid our nanny to watch our kids while we were on a cruise last year and on top of that left money to go out for dinner a couple of times, and left money for them to go out on a date with babysitting. C is just hard though. He doesn't pay attention and is very lazy. His momm works so much, he doesn't get enough sleep because of her work schedule. they don't get to spend good quality time together and he spends a lot of time with electronics...ipod, nintendo ds, play station, tv, etc. Plus she is so darned stubborn that she thinks there is nothing wrong with that and won't try new things without dragging her feet. It is just so hard watching other people parent. I definately don't think I am a perfect parent but some parents just make me crazy when you see that their entire theory of parenting is wacky. Especially when you can tell it doesn't work for the kids and the parents don't make any changes. Sorry for that rant. DH and I were talking about it last night. We were noticing the issues in his school work.

Well, it looks like it is time for me to head off to work...

Chris - That stinks about the gravel in your yard. I'm glad you have found an answer to that issue. Yay about getting your stuff in a store. Maybe you can get some movement on your products so that you can eventually get a booth at the farmer's market. One step at a time. It really sucks that you have to spend money to make money, especially when you don't have the money to spend because you are trying to get it off the ground. Good luck with all of that. I hope putting it in that store helps to get the ball rolling.

Sara - The caterpillars sound so fun. My sis got Ethan an ant farm. Getting ants in the mail was so strange.

Oh, I almost forgot...my friend who got me involved in relay for life has been watching her sister battle braiun cancer and yesterday she got the call that she is in remission and all done with cancer treatment. It is so amazing and I am so excited about it for her. I am now only $45 OFF OF MY GOAL OF RAISING $750 (sorry about the caps). It is so awesome. I am very excited about the relay. I got Ethan all signed up last night so he can do some walking too. It will be awesome.

OMG you guys I haven't been here in so long!! Juts trying to keep up with life! Went to the dr. today, I have a sinus infection.....uugghhh......

Hope everyone is doing well! we are doing better with the teething. I did try the Highland's (Thanks Clara & Chris) they did seem to help a bit, but I think the biggest help was time....

clara ...congrats on Relay!!!! great news for her.... and good for you raising the $$!!!

Chris - soooooo super sick of this rain!!!!! Farmers market sounds great...love them!

Hi everyone! just catching you before you all trundle off to bed. Its Friday morning (yay!) and rainy and cold! After work I have to do the grocery shopping (ugh!) but then I get to go home and I have a 'long' weekend off as it is my RDO on Monday!!! Think I will have to do some housework this weekend as well.

Chris: I'm hearing you.......RAIN! yuck!! its pouring there today, totally grey and windy outside! I so wish I could have just stayed home and scrapped today!! that sounds great about selling your products in that shop!! good luck with that!!! and glad to hear you got to do some gardening.......when we first moved out to our property I bought and begged plants from everywhere, 13yrs on and I can dig stuff up now and transplant to other parts of the garden!! love it!! keeping fingers crossed for some more sun to come out for you!

Hi Ona! My head is sooooo much better :). Today my DH and the tire guy were both under my skin, that's almost as bad as under my hair LOL. I'll have to share my morning in another post ;). No bike trips planned as of yet. But who knows, I like spontaneity!

Sara-it's so adorable hearing about the caterpillars. I hope you take some pics and do a layout. What a great learning experience for Ben :).

I needed that!! I have been having the worst day!! I have been poking my head in to read the posts...but just didn't feel like writing myself...I have been all over the forum and gallery today...leaving some love and short posts....I will talk to you guys tomorrow!
