Oscraps

You are not going to believe this!!!!

HA! Did you hear the guy say "well, if that bear was in feeding mode that would have been a whole different video?" OMG that is crazy! haha!!!

hahahhaa!! I have to send this to DH, he absolutely freaks out about bears!!! LOL!! we don't have any here downunder but if he watches a movie or anything with people getting attacked then he will dream about it!!! :) good grief Linda, I don't think I would have been so calm, just sitting there watching it come towards me!!! yikes!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'd believe it. People can be amazingly..naive, stupid, foolish, whatever. Glad one of those men isn't going to a funeral.

I heard that Suzy!!!!!! MY MOUTH WAS WIDE OPEN THE WHOLE VIDEO!!!!:twitch:

Ona....show him this one....this is Mike's big boy....this is from one of his trailcams on his leased property that he hunts....Best guess this big guy is about 450-500 lbs....I told him to keep his sandwiches in the truck...he smells that up a tree stand he's coming up there with him!!! Bwahahahaha!!!!

Not me. I'm not going to be the pot calling the kettles black! Every scrapper has a 'wild and kuh-ray-uh-zee side", right?

Ellen hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

We have a family bear story too- Gary was out grilling burgers and a bear walked up behind, past the grill and rambled into the woods. He was close enough to touch the bear if he wanted, but was completely taken by surprise. I don't think he would have stayed there if he had seen the bear coming towards him.

In another few weeks- I hope that people are alert, as they start prepping to den down.

Linda- I should see if I can find th epics of the 800 lb bear that was in our neighborhood a few years back. He had his face badly damaged and my vet did repair work for him. Then he was tagged and sent along.
Mike would not want to see this guy if he were in a stand!

Wow Linda, great video. Unfortunatley that bear will probably end up being killed because he will become a nuisance. It happens all the time here, because people are stupid enough to keep feeding them. We had one old fellow who has been feeding about 10 bears for a couple of years now, and they have ended up having to shoot almost all of them because they are not afraid of people anymore and get mad and attack when there is no food. People really are stupid!! :loco:

Chris- that was one big bear!!!!

I couldn't watch the video - Jeff's asleep - but reading the story... Wow!!!! I'm surprised those guys were so stupid and stuck around, testing their luck against the bear's stomach!

Trudy - that's the problem we're having!!!! One of the areas we go to every summer had to be restricted by the USDA Forest Service because of problem bears.

Linda - I'm going to need your recipes for bear if Jeff's successful this year, the season just opened and he spent four days out there trying to get a bear or buck... no luck. Lots of sign, but all he ever saw were does and fawns. He's going back up next weekend, and then we have tags for my grandparent's area down south that he's going to try next month. He doesn't lease land or have any tree cams (the pot growers just steal them as they find them,) we have enough federal land around here that he wont run out of places to hunt.
