Oh, I can never scrap when I "have to" - it has to be when I "want to". But when there are situations where I really really have to - I go for templates or a QP.

When I get like that, and that is OFTEN lately....I go back to my own gallery and look at the pages I have created especially of the subject I am scrapping and it gives me some inspiration.

If that don't work...... ~slips Chris the blue bottle~ ......SSSSSHHHHHHHHH!!

Yeah...what they said. When I am really struggling, I usually go to templates too. :) And my favorites.

Nana, may I have a bit of that wine you're passing around??

Chris, I can NEVER scrap on cue - that's why I have such a problem with challenges!
Perhaps the wine would help ;)
I try templates but the I dither - I must have dozens of unfinished layouts on my HD - I'm afraid to look :)

Just know you are not alone, my dear Chris !!

I hear you Chris - I'm still struggling trying to finish a travel album I started over a year ago!
ITA with everyone too, templates are a huge help and so is a scraplift

Thanks Momma O (I think)
:D

I was able to get one page of the three done. I scraplifted that one. Then I tried templates with the next two and couldn't get anywhere.
I realized what a big part of the problem was- I am not scrapping for myself, and I think throws a wrench in everything. It like how people can sing in the shower but not for an audience, I guess. I think I need to try again but think of them from how I want to see them scrapped.

Thanks for the suggestions Diane- I am going to take a look at them today!

Start with the pictures, start with the pictures, start with the pictures!

Remember its the pictures that tell the story!

Here's an idea for a book I just finished...
I had a free 8x8 Shutterfly book, not sure why they give me free stuff, but I'll take it.

I checked my recent layouts and although I am not crazy about 8x8 (prefer to print 12x12), it was free.

I found I had a bunch of layouts done with flowers, so I thought I would make a Spring Flowers book. But I only had 14 pages. I had some CT kits I needed to use so created 2 more, but still 4 short.

Then I got this idea in the shower :)

For the additional pages, I just included photos. I used some of the photos of flowers that didn't make it into pages, or some of the ones from the same 'shoot'.

Since Shutterfly pages are so flexible, for these pages, instead of full bleed, I used their layouts (which are totally customizable these days).

Voila, 20 pages done and printed, and I love it!

So if you just can't come up with scrapped pages, just include the pictures! They even have stickers and embellishments these days.

You can see my book here:

Good luck wit this!
