Who is dressing up for Halloween this year?

I miss the good old days of being able to dress up for Halloween either for parties, for teaching, or with my own kids. It has been a long time since I dressed up other than my usual "resting witch face." Bwuhahahah!
Do you have a go-to costume that you would wear? When I was teaching, a black cat was usually the easiest since I needed to wrangle a bunch of 4 and 5 yos all hopped up on candy! (that part-- I don't miss! LOL)

I also don't miss being a kid in the 70s wearing those plastic masks that steamed up on the inside.

I have a very basic set of cat ears left over from work that I might wear tomorrow. Otherwise, that's about it.

I have two costume I interchange. A pirate and a steampunk witch. My sister has a Hallowe'en porch party as she gives out candy to the kiddies. We all stay on the porch in costume and in character, eat appies and interact with the kids that come by. Great fun.

We used to do costume parties every year, but haven't since covid. Honestly, I don't even feel like passing out candy this year. I think I'll just turn off the lights and hide this year.

I hate it because the dogs we have now get soooo riled up. For the last two years, we put the candy on a table and talked to the kids from the window since it was easier. But I really miss seeing their costumes, the little ones always crack me up. I have to think about what I want to do about the dogs.
