What do you dream of

Do you ever have nightmares? Or nice dreams?
Sometimes I dream the craziest things that do not exist or cannot exist at all.
I remember a dream that there was an iguana on the roof with us wearing a fluorescent vest. The children laughed about it.
This week, I dreamed that I was being held hostage and really beaten. Fortunately it was just a dream.

As a child I always dreamed that I had to go to the toilet at school and that there were no doors in it!
Or that they were chasing me, and then because I couldn't run fast enough, I always started swimming in the air !?

What do you dream of?

I used to keep a dream journal and did it for about 2 years. I have to write my dreams down as soon as I wake up or I forget them. I dreamed, for the longest time, about finding new rooms in my house. I looked that up and one of the meanings is "new possibilities" - I guess I don't have any more of them because I haven't had that dream for a long time.

Oh that's a great idea to write my dreams down !

I dream and wake up thinking it was strange
and 5 seconds later I forget it,
especially when I close my eyes again!!

Sometimes I dream about the toilet too,
but I do find the toilet ... sit down ... and wake up hopefully in time to run to the bathroom!

Just go and read the last week of my Daily Ooos posts. I have been having strange dreams and nightmares. My subconscious is freaking out and is expressing itself in my dreams.
I have always had vivid dreams but ATM it is too much. :faint2:

I too have been dreaming more than usual, but they are crazy and make no sense at all. :loco: I really should keep a journal by my bed and write them all down, because most of them I forget, but the really vivid ones stick with me!

I spent many many years not dreaming at all. That was when I was very sick and apparently it's a sign of my health returning because I am dreaming again. I don't usually remember them for more than a few minutes, but hey, I'm dreaming!

I dream the weirdest thing, very real, even though most of my dreams are impossible. I don't really like it, but it's a side effect of my meds. I can't tell afterwards, all I know is that it always involves real people, people I know and. real situations, most of the time scary. There is no logic in these dreams though, and when I wake up I don't feel relaxed.

I recently shared this in the Daily Ooos- my mom always dreamed very vividly and in color. After her parents died, she only dreamed in b/w. As the grief lessened over the years, she started getting color back, muted at first, and then more vivid. The brain is absolutely fascinating

Chris that is amazing about your mom's dreams. I'm glad she's dreaming in color again.

I sometimes dream silly things and have even awakened myself, laughing out loud. But, most often, I don't remember my dreams for more than a few minutes. Since scrapping again, I've often dreamed of a scrap page idea, those I should be writing down!

Speaking of moms ... When my mom was alive if she dreamed of snakes, she was on the phone immediately to warn us to be extra careful. :) Many times, a tragic or emergency situation happened right after her snake dreams, so we were always cautious. She used to say, "I guess I should call all my distant relatives & friends and warn them, also, because they should be careful too." haha She never did but I think she felt kind of guilty when things happened and she hadn't warned them. :)

I have looney dreams. Always have! I get so irritated with myself when I don't write them down before I get a chance to tell someone, because, like many of you, they are gone from my brain.

I hate the ones where you wake up having difficulty breathing because you're being drowned or attacked. But worse than that, I wake up with my heart pounding with anger because I've dreamed of my ex and the shenanigans he still gets away with. hahaha

Absolutely fascinating, and I stick with it, dreams are a process of what you experience in your daily life

i often forget my dreams too, and then sometimes in the middle of the day i come to a conversation and one word of that triggers me and then i think about the dream i had that night as if it was destined to remember

Strange though, maybe your body or your brain didn't have the energy to dream at that time but it needed the energy to heal.

Danesa, so weird about your mom's dreams of snakes. I also had/have the dreams of being angry at Gary and warn him when I wake up when they happen to stay clear until I get my emotions back under control ;)

I usually only dream when it is time for me to get up! And they are crazy dreams. Good thing, too, as it drives me from the bed! LOL
