Welcome to a new decade!

Welcome to 2020. It's nice having a new slate of a new year and a new decade.

Does anyone have any new goals, challenges, resolutions or word of the year?

My challengel is to be more persistent, passionate and purposeful in relationships and creativity! I need to come out of my shell more and get out more with others, instead of being a home-body. :)

What's your new challenges & goals?

O my, a whole new decade!
I want to be more aware of the now. Live my life now, enjoy it now, and do things that are important to me.
Also I feel that there are great challenges ahead. Not just for us, but also for our kids and future generations. I want to do my part for as far as I can. Less meat, less dairy products, less buying new stuff, when there is plenty of old stuff not being used. Going to second hand stores etc.
I want to do whatever I can for the climate, because I think it is so important.

Hope the new decade bring happiness to all of us!

My goal is to be financial more responsible and grounded!
That's will mean that I'll have to restraint my passion to help to every lost cause pet I meet and to act more realistic and adult. Will be soo hard! So honestly I hope for other solution, as a lottery win. LOL :p

Yeah, sustainable fashion and minimalist living is something that my family is passionate about from few years too!

My intention for 2020 and beyond is to "pay myself first" by focusing on healing and doing what I need to do to get better and better.

My OLW (one little word) for 2020 is “nourish”.

I want to nourish my inner and outer being. I want to be more grounded, more relaxed, more at peace with my world. I want to eat healthy, exercise and take good care of myself.

I long ago gave up resolutions. However, I am hoping to start scrapping again. I miss hanging out here.

I don't make resolutions because I break 'em and then feel guilty.
For now, I would like to focus more on being present. The decade ahead is going to have some big changes that I know for certain or as best I can be. My kids said last night that this will be over 30 at the end of this decade which means they will be moving out. My parents and ILs are getting older and who knows what that will bring? *I* am getting older, as much as hate to admit it. ;)
But I also have some really good things to be present for as well. Both kids are graduating from college this year, Scott's long-time GF will be getting her master's - all in May. My ILs are taking the whole family on a cruise in July. Sadly, Gary can't go due to his health but I expect that the rest of the family will keep me from missing him too much.
So yes, to be present in both good and bad times and try to keep it in balance.

Danesa- I love your goals, even trying to be less of a home-body. I like being a home-body most of the time, but I admire people who get themselves out there.

Jeanette- I think our goals are similar with being more aware of things that are important. I have been doing a lot of repurposing and recycling too.

Sandrine- I am going to keep working on increasing my steps- good luck to you!

Felis- A wonderful woman I know through my vet's office adopts as many cats with feline leukemia that she can. She has a special house/enclosure that she can keep all of them together and lets them live as good as a life that they can have for as long as they have. She is an *angel.* While I can't do anything like that, I try to send her a few dollars through her PayPal for that, or when she is raising money for the Dog Walkathon for the local animal shelter. That is way less expensive than adopting and I still get to feel like I am helping. Just a thought to help you with your goal.

Vicki- that is a great and critical thing to do for yourself. Sally always use to tell me to take the oxygen first :) (I miss her here!)

Rae- That is a fab word!! I am looking fwd to hearing how you do this and get some good ideas from you!

Cindy- we miss you here too, and I hope that you are able to get back scrapping again soon.

I've thought a bit about goals for 2020 and haven't really found anything that resonates with me more than anything else. I will echo what other have said though, that getting out and about more for mental and physical health benefits sounds like the way to go!

I have let my weight go way too far again, so I start again with more exercise, especially walking and maybe running, and certainly going on a diet
