Good Morning ladies!! Happy Saturday. I have to get moving on cleaning the house and go shopping for dinner with guests tonight. Should be fun. I am making sweet pork burritos. I've never made them before but they sound super yummy.

Hi o's!!! Just got back from a Mom2Mom sale and I scored, 3 bags of little boy clothes for $15!!!! I love these sales . Gunar is painting the living room, he won't let me help...silly boy so I may just have to take a nap. I can't wait to see all the fun on the way this week.

just a quick hello... I was supposed to be designing today and got totally hooked on playing eq2 on my new monitor - an LG 22" Flatron my hubby bought me last night... it totally kicks butt! Beats the heck outta the 17" I had LOL.

Hey girls.....

quick one from me....I ran around this morning and we had lunch at my girlfriends house while the boys played together......last night my husband stayed with Nico and I went out! There are 7 or 8 of us who try to have a girls nite at one of our houses once each month , last nite I was at girls nite and it was fab! Its a group of us who went to High school or junior high school together! always fun!! we all brought apps, we had wine and played Scatagories & Taboo!!!
Tonight we are going to my cousin's house, her daughter is turning 9 and they are having a party. My uncle makes homemade fried dough pizzas and thats what we are having!! yyummmm!!!!! Just waiting for my lil guy to wake from hsi nap so we can get ourselves together and go.

Tomorrow we will just be hanging around and maybe go to my inlaws for dinner. Thats it! I took a ride to Kohls this morning because on of my bff's (lol lol ) is prego with her 2nd, and were having a small shower for her at the beginning of May. Shes not due till the end of JUne but with he first she went a month early so we are preparing.....so anyway I got her a bunch of great stuff at Kohls.

And thats my story! Hop eeveryoneis havinga FAB weekend! I am super super excited for the festivities!!

MY news: so excited!! Sue Cummings has asked me to join her CT!!!! I am beyond excited and super flattered! I love her stuff!!! Yay!!!!!!!:-o:-o

I went to Ames this morning to watch Haoyi in State Speech contests. She was terrific and got a 1. Now tonight the boys high school basketball team is playing in the Championship at State so we are headed in there once Haoyi gets home and Brian gets back from showing houses.

But tomorrow is O'Party Day for me! Can't wait to see what you girls have cooked up!

Hi everyone!! I have been refreshing and refreshing my screen all afternoon....already! I have butterflies I am sooooo excited...I feel like a little kid . I'm working on an extra special layout right now...I'll post a copy of it here when I finish it .

Hello again. I am taking a quick break from the cleaning and all that. The pork is smelling super yummy. I just added the sweet stuff. It is supposed to be a copyct from the burritos from Cafe Rio...a burrito place from Utah. The girl that used to nanny for us was a huge fan of it and they have a similar place in Oregon that we went to one time when we drove down there to go to the zoo. It was so yummy and I want those burritos again but there is no way I am driving all the way down there just for burritos...not to mention the next time I go down there I want to try a place called Byways...which is a breakfast restaurant that was on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. It looks so yummy. I am hoping we get a chance to stop there for a breakfast. That would be so awesome. Yummy.

Anyway, I am currently watching my dh open a beer and I am so jealous that I don't like beer because I think it would be perfect right now after all the cleaning and stuff. He's been working on getting a mount put up to put a flat screen tv up above our fireplace but there was a lot that went into it...like putting in an electrical outlet and all that kind of stuff. So, it has been an interesting day. But our house is looking pretty and clean. We really need to start looking into buying our floors. That is what our tax return is going towards this year. We have decided on laminate wood floors but are going with planks instead of the 3-board sections. I think it looks so nice. We need to pick it out so that my mom can order it and then we need to find an installer. I know having an installer will be a good investment on our marriage. I don't see self installation going well. Now we just have to agree on the color and direction we want it to go in. My mom works in flooring so we get it for 10% above cost. Yay!!! Well, I need to start some black beans and rice so that I can get these burritos in the oven in a while. I'll chat with you guys soon. I am very excited about tomorrow and hope I can see what all is going on during the day since I also have a heavy schedule. I sure don't want to miss a thing. Thanks Cheery-Os for making everything happen. I am expecting nothing less than awesome. yay!!!

Good Morning!!! it is the O-fficial start of the O-somest Birthday Part Ever! WoOt!
So exciting!

Everyone's weekends sound like a great time so far. I am kinda jealous
Yesterday I felt so sick I spent most of the day in bed again. Then we watched a movie with the kids and back to bed after.

I made a big medical no-no. When my new HMO refused to fill my pain med (Opana- a opiate/morphone extended release combo-- yes scary!) I decided I was going to come off it. Immediately. Stupid, stupid STUPID! I am going through morphine withdrawal- and am really miserable. I spent a little bit of time looking around the net for help- ummmm, yeah, not good....
Gary is doing the same since he is one the same med, but he is doing it smarter- he is tapering. I thought I would be the *good wife* and save my lower dosage pills for him as he tapers.
So basically we are both feeling yucky.


But I am going to throw my self into the O-party!! yahoooo!

Hope you all are having a wonderful day- I am off to make my Pook (Caitlyn) pancakes- she has a cold and a fever and asked so sweetly for pancakes, how can I refuse?

Hi girls! I had class yesterday and spent most of the day teaching people and listening to excuses as to why work was late. This group is really an odd group. We've never had a a group like it before. I also was supposed to go to a competition that I'm slightly involved with in the morning, but I didn't want to waste half a tank of gas to drive out there and wander for an hour. So I didn't go. Shhhh don't tell anyone, because they won't even know I wasn't there.

Today we have a birthday party to go to, and we should go to the grocery store and clean. Then tonight I'll be able to chat and not feel guilty. =) Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Ok...I've got to rant! This teenage thing is not soooo easy! Yesterday Haoyi had State Speech contests. She got 1's in both which was wonderful!

The Boys' Basketball team was playing in the State Championship. We had told Haoyi that we would take her. We were all dressed and ready. But she didn't get home soon enough. She got home 15 minutes before the game started. The game was a 25 minute drive, not including parking, walking, buying tickets, etc. We couldn't make it...we would have been lucky to be seated by the beginning of the second half.
So when she comes home she still wants to go. She said that she would ride the pep bus. I told her that the pep bus was already gone and that it was too late. She started pouting and telling me that she really wanted to go and she would start calling people asking for rides.
I finally said that I didn't understand how someone who could pull A's in AP Calculus could not do the math to figure out when the pep bus would be leaving. (She had just ridden the pep bus on Tuesday night to the same location.) I also said that her pouting and arguing makes me feel very unappreciated. We had all rearranged schedules yesterday so that I could drive an hour away to see her speech and get back so that Brian could show a house and then be ready to leave as soon as she got home to go to the basketball game.
Argh....teenagers! (Apologies in advance to Cora and Maya who I'm sure are both perfect teenagers!)

So, Addie has decided to be interested in potty training. She is now insisting on wearing panties while earlier in the week she threw a gian fit about putting them on. Last night she was refusing to put on a diaper. We'll see how it goes. She is a very stubborn girl and does what she wants when she wants. She will only use one of our bathrooms so now we have to not use that bathroom, since she peed on the floor waiting to use it. Aaaah!! Fun days.

Yesterday we took a trip to IL's to get the kids' new playset. Today we are going to put it up. It is 60 degrees here!!!!!!!!! AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

Well, my final exam kit is finished and submitted for critique! I'm happy with how it came out, but wish I'd have had more time to work on it. Our internet totally dropped yesterday afternoon so I got a little panicked and quickly finished up this morning so I could upload. If you miss the deadlines you're out! I've got a preview of the papers on my blog and will post a full preview tomorrow, or maybe tonight - guess it depends on what we do the rest of the day.
Yesterday we went into town and toured the Sportsmen's show. Looked at lots of campers and visited with lots of friends. By the time we finished up there we were all hungry so off we went to our favorite restaurant - Chevy's. It's a mexican place. I LOVE their spicy mango margaritas!
Today we've been cleaning the house and I've finished and uploaded my kit. Made meatloaf and mashed tatoes for lunch. We're toying with the idea of going to see the new Witch Mountain movie later today.
Ok, I'm off to read all the birthday threads!

we went to my in-laws for lunch. it was nice. we are going this week to look at playscapes. finally!!!

We had a great service today at church. I tried a new thing (for me...donnie does this all the time when he leads...). I led worship without music or a stand in front of me. We have the words projected on the back wall, so that wasn't an issue...although I really try to memorize my words. This is a big thing for me. If I went on AI right now, I'd be one of those sent home because I'd forget the words!! Just ask Cora...okay...don't ask Cora!! LOL!!! Anyway, I'm trying to go through my set list everyday and practice!! *gasp*!!! Personally, now that I'm older and know what it takes to perfect the music, it makes it a little easier to actually practice!! LOL!!! now if my kids would do it too, we could get an RV and take our fam band on the road!! (don't laugh...it just may happen sooner than I think!! heehee!)

Anyway, I'm off to scrap a little and play a little and post a little!! I'm here at the O until the wee hours of the morning!!

Sally-LOL, are you a little excited?! well, okay, so am I...I was up practically all night last night, I just couldn't sleep at all. I had it in my head that everything started last night so I was all ready to go! Now I can barely hold my eyes open but I'm ......well, so tired I can't go to sleep, KWIM? I'll try to catch a nap though, I don't want to miss a single thing, course I'll have to go to bed cause I have to go to work tomorrow ...sheesh.

Chris-dang those HMOs anyway! Hope you don't go through any major problems with this .
