What are you all doing? I am going to dance with a different instructor- known for kicking our butts, and then to town to look at speakers for the basement remodel, then - well time will tell-have been working on uploading all my CT layouts- my internet has been off and on- much to Mr. Gorgeous disappointment. Need to go have breakfast with protein- back later to see what trouble everyone is in!
 
Good morning ladies. I had to go back and take a look at all of the daily O's that I missed the last few mornings. Have actually had a good week. My uncle's funeral was a great celebration of his life...most of his grandkids got up and spoke. Don't know how they kept it together like that...they were very close to him.

My nephew's baseball team broke the record for the most consecutive wins in high school baseball in the state of Iowa. That was fun! And Mom was able to watch the game from the car with the air conditioning running and her oxygen!

And, I've been saving all of my vacation time for when Mom needs me...but I've decided to make it a very long 4th of July weekend by taking time off on the Friday before the 4th and the Tuesday after. So I'm counting down those days. :-)
 
It's gray and gloomy here...not what one really wants for a Sat. morning. The microwave (which is also the range hood) stopped working the other morning. And the dishwasher hasn't been working well. So I think we are going appliance shopping today.

I am still sick. I hate this. Its a beautiful day I wanted to go to the beach, but I can barely move/think.
I am slowly egtting stuff done around the house, but I am feeling so hopeless and overwhelemd and empty at the same time.

Morning everyone... It's :rain: here today. It's Saturday and I have to work for 4 hrs. Uggggh!! But then I get to go to my brother and SIL's for supper tonight, so at least I don't have to cook!! Tomorrow we are taking Chinese food to the In-Law's and spending the afternoon in FIL's new boat and hopefully have a nice sit around the firepit in the evening.

Chris - Sweetie, I wish I could be there to help you out with all of your chores! You should just stay in bed and get some rest, take care of yourself for a change. :hug:

LindaS - Sounds like this weekend could be costly for you if you have to replace your microwave and your dishwasher. But oh how nice it will be to have new ones!! How nice that you can be there for your mother when she needs you!! She will feel so much better because of it I am sure!!

Laurie - Hope your new instructor doesn't kick your butt too much!! Your MG must be so happy to go shopping for the speakers that he wants! Hope you get all of your layouts posted. I have to do the same!!

got a birthday party to take elyse to in a little bit....and of course its going to rain more...omg im soooooooooo sick of rain!! ugh.....good thing the birthday party is at an indoor pool lol

Hey ladies!! Today has been pretty good. I went to my ladies group this morning and got to hang with Andrea and little Walter for a bit. That was fun. I need to bug her about hanging out here again but I know she is just swamped between school, kids, husband deploying again, etc. Plus her scrapping leans more towards altered art so I think she hangs at Deviant a bit these days since she does some CTing over there. But it was great to see her and the little one, plus a little fellowship is always nice. Yesterday I took the kids to see Soul Surfer...it was a great movie and the kids loved it. Tonight we are making wings and having people over. The guys won't listen to me that wings are better if you fry them and then bake them for a little bit to get the stuff all thick and yummy on it. Stupid boys. Nobody wanted to talk to me about anything so I have had one heck of a time planning for it. But I have made a few things now and am pretty ready. I made a bean dip...it is kind of a bean pico kind of a dip. I love it and so does Derek and I made a ton of it so they better eat a bunch of it because I love it and want to eat all of it but am containing myself because of the dieting thing. I feel like tomorrow I will have to not eat to make up for today...not that I would actually not eat (I love food) but just eating a lot today. It is the same feeling after Thanksgiving and Christmas where you feel like you had you fill of food for a week.

So that is my world today. No big Father's Day plans. Ethan really wants to get Derek a bible for Father's Day but it hasn't happened yet. I am a horrible mommy for Father's Day. Hopefully Derek will get back with the car soon and Ethan and I can go figure something out before anyone arrives.

Laurie - Enjoy speaker shopping. That sounds fun to have in the basement. Sounds like that flood was just what you guys needed to get your basement the way you wanted. :) Have fun getting your butt whipped by the new instructor. I hope you learn something great!!

LindaS - I am so glad you attended a great funeral. I love it when it is a celebration of life and not just a big sob fest. A mix of the two is great too. When a friend of mine died a few years ago the memorial was super sad, although they did a lot about his life but after we went to his house and had a big bonfire with friends and memories. I'm glad you had the time to share memories together. Congrats to your nephew!! How cool!! Have fun appliance shopping. That scares the crap out of me.

Chris - I wish I lived closer. I would come over, plug in a chick flick and clean up your house while we watched, chatted and you just rested. Are you regular sick or Lyme sick or a mix of the two? I hate it when you feel so yucky since I know you feel yucky as your regular so feeling yucky is just Crap!! I'll send some prayers and happy healthy thoughts your way.

Trudy - sounds like besides the working you have a fabulous weekend planned. It is a weekend I would enjoy anyway. Enjoy your no cooking weekend. I'm about to make some mac'n'cheese.

Kristy - so glad your bday party is indoors and out of the rain. Enjoy your weekend.
 
rainy and not rainy here= just finished mowing the lawn. Instructor worked us for 1 1/2 hour straight, mostly on new moves/steps for the Viennese waltz. I even have some on video tape so mr gorgeous and I can practice. We are not yet agreeing on how to use the "den/bar" space- he wants a tv in a corner and I want it on a wall- I want a mini fridge and wine fridge, well - we will get it figured out. We can't have it all, but we can get it started with the end in mind and not have to rip out what we just put in!
 
Oh Chris, I wish that I could stop by and visit! Do you think that someday they'll make travel as fast as the internet travel is today? :-)

Finally this weekend....a calm and quiet time.....LIfe has pretty much been in a royal tizzy for me and I have a hard time catching my breathe...but ONE DAY AT A TIME....

Yesterday I did some scrapping....out to eat with my Mom and Dad last night which was nice!!

No big Father's Day thing this year....DON'T HAVE IT IN ME THIS TIME!!!!

Jamie and DH visited last night....IT'S A GIRL IT'S A GIRL!!!! Yes the next little to be added to the clan is going to be a little girl!!! I knew this a couple of weeks ago...but just has not been able to come back and let you guys know yet!!!

Today....Mike and I are going to Sharon's and swim....relax....RELAX...is that word allowed in my vocab??? :pound: What am I laughing at??? It's true!!!! MORE scrapping tonight!!!

Mike is on vacay this week....Cameran will have vacation Bible School all week 9-12 each day. I am trying to keep him very busy if possible...we went to the library last week and signed up for the Summer reading program....he was excited....He checked out 4 books and has read three (well one was for me to read to him...which we did in one day!!!!) and one is a book on CD...he has listened to the first of 5 CDs....so he is almost done and that put's him 1/4 of his way to his goal!!!

Nana- so wonderful to see you here- juggling is great for reflexes, but not for stress- take care and enjoy your weekend.
 
Wow who is that???? Could it be?? Why yes, its NANALINDA!! How wonderful to see you here again!! We have all missed you very much, but we all know that your life has been chaotic lately! Wish I could help you juggle everything. So glad to see you back with us again! Happy Scrapping!!
 
If only being on an internet site brought us all geographically closer so we could help each other out. So glad to see you Nana!!! Hugs!!
 
Today has been a good day so far. Slept in a little hanging out with the fam. We had a gathering last night which was fun but there were a LOT of people. There were too many kids. I, as usual, found a spot to place my butt and stayed there. I ate a LOT of food. I was going to try and be good but it was a gathering for my birthday which is upcoming, so I had to eat a little bad. LOL!! I paid for it and went to bed with a belly ache.

Today has been a good Father's Day. Just chillin' and Derek is cooking up the rest of the wings. We have so much leftover food. People left their leftovers that they brought. A friend of ours brought this ranch potato salad that was AWESOME!! I want to eat it all up today and am doing what I can not to. It was SOOOOOOO yummy. So we've pretty much just been laying around and eating all day.

Alrighty, I'd better get back to watching deadliest catch with the fam. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
