uh-oh. It's 10 o'clock central and I'm the first one opening the O's! Maybe we all need some coffee and coffee cake. Let me offer you some.

It's been crazy around here. I really want some R&R time! I really NEED some R&R time. I may need to start a countdown to vacation...but, of course, that might stress me because I know what all needs to be done to get to June!

Ok...stressfree this weekend! Everyone in the Ozone! I'll be back later.

I had to go to town to get my haircut, do grocery shopping, and then stopped at bath & body (a fragrant but costly endeavor), get half way home and then drive back into town to get the waterline for the new fridge I get tomorrow! Most likely off to work and dancing tonight and home all day tomorrow. I bought some inpatients, but will wait a few days to plant them as we have frost warnings. I am getting my garden fever!

oh my goodness, I've been gone almost all day... finally sitting down for a minute... but soon I'm off to get the kids to bed... then maybe I'll have time to scrap.

ooh it is quiet in here!!! no doubt you are all outside enjoying your spring weather!! and getting planting fever Laurie!! do you want to come down south and work in my garden for a little while!!! :)

nothing much happening here this weekend. its a short weekend for me so back at work tomorrow (Monday) but looking forward to next weekend, we have a long one (3 days) for our memorial Anzac day and then I have Tuesday off as well as my rostered day off. its really starting to cool down here, the nights and mornings are quite cool but the days are still VERY warm which is okay. nothing much else to add, I am going to go and play with my new laptop (its 3 weeks old) and I LOVE it so much! LOL!! hope you all have a great time for the remaining time of your weekend!! cya!! xx

today my new dishwasher and refrigerator get delivered- that is exciting. Went out dancing last night- oh I could not dance well to save my life- ughhh- next time- always next time.

Ona, how cool is cool at night and morning?

Laurie, fun to get a new frig and dishwasher. I just ordered a portable ice maker...about the size of a bread machine ...to keep us in ice all summer. Trying to improve our water drinking habits with a big glass crock on the counter, filled with water and fruit and ice! We'll see how that works.

Everything is all set- now just waiting for them to arrive- can't wait- then I can get going on lawn mowing after I reload the new fridge & freezer- maybe I should cook today so I can use the dishwasher too!

Hi ladies! I am here- had a rough day Fri and Sat- yucky Lyme brain and body. Today (so far!) I seem to be feeling better. Thats always good. I am all dressed and ready to head out- Caitlyn is volunteering at the town's blood drive today as part of Student Council.
My goal is to get boxes from the attic and start working my way through switching through winter clothes.

Enjoy the day!

Good Morning ladies!!!

Seems we are all enjoying the SPRING!! It's hard to be inside on the computer when it's so wonderful outdoors!!! especially after the WINTER we had!!!

Spent the morning yesterday with my Mom....We had a good time talking. we got into a great discussion about my GREAT grandparents...learning a few things about my heritage. I actually went to clean for her, but we talked so long, I only managed to mop the floors. You would have thought I had given her a bag full of money :D She was happy!!

Today.....Clean my house!!! then hopefully some scrapping!!

LindaS....How fabulous....wish I could be so HEALTHY!!! I hear ya on the VACATION!! We have 8 weeks for our first one in June and then our Week long Beach trip in August!! YIPEE!! since the only vaca we had last year was 3 days to TN...I am very ready to get out of here!!!

Laurie....Wow...I can't believe they deliver on Sundays....we still live in the "BLUE"....there are stores that actually don't open on Sundays around here...but nobody delivers or repairs, anything like that on Sundays. The flowers sounds great...I was going to get some myself on Friday, but never made it...so one day this week...I have to go get some and get them in the ground!!

Andrea....hope you got to scrap some...you are a BUSY little bee!!!

Ona...What is ANZAC? But yay for a 3 day weekend next week!! well 4 for you!! Our spring has the same weather for us...it's pretty cool here at night, still have to have heat as it's down into the upper 30's at night, but then some days we rise way up to the upper 80's and have to run AC!! We will stable out by Mid May. Sleep tight, and have a good day at work in a few hours!!

OH Good morning my little Faery!!! You posted while I was typing!!

I am glad you feel better today sweetie!! ((HUGS))...Your Caitlyn!!! She is such a GOOD SOUL!!! Now when you finish switching out the clothes at your house, head on down and you can do mine...but with the weather here....80 one day...40 the next....I kind of have them all shoved into my closet right now....somedays it's capri pants and tshirt and others, jeans or sweats with a sweatshirt...only part of spring I hate!!

back again- the appliances are delivered and now i am having trouble deciding where to put things in my new fridge- side by side instead of top fridge/bottom freezer- but water on the door and I am sure I will be used to it in now time! DH is hooking up the dishwasher as I type, I will make him a yummy breakfast!

Ona, how cool is cool at night and morning?

hahhaha Linda! You will most probably roll around the floor and laugh at this!!! :)

Its starting to get down to around 18 degrees for us which is approx. 64 degrees F.............but it IS cool for us when we have to put up with days and nights around the 36 degrees mark (96 degrees F). Our autumn days though are still quite warm at around 28 degrees C. (82 degrees F). In winter we get down to -4 C (24 F) overnight but the days are around 18 C (64 F) so really, we don't have a winter where I live. In the southern states (where Helen lives) they have colder weather and in some parts they get also get snow. So really, I don't get a proper 'winter' as such!! would love to experience it just once though, I would love to go to Europe at Christmas, I think that would be just magic!!

Ona, it still sounds pretty warm to me. :-) I'd love to meet you in Europe for Christmas sometime...I agree, it sounds magical!

Laurie, isn't it funny how changing a refrigerator can change things so much? I bet it will take awhile to find things.

Chris, glad that today is a bit better.

Linda, your vacations sound splendid. I'd love to do a beach vacation (Gulfshores looks wonderful) but I can't imagine taking the kids in the car for 15 hours. So we may still be a couple of years away.

We had a great day. Spent the day playing with the kids. We played school this morning...lots of work on counting change. Spent some time reading books. Read one named "Busy Pond" and then we picked up mom and my niece and took a field trip to a nearby nature center. We did a picnic near the lake and then came home and had grilled chicken for supper. Now it's bathtime and early bedtime I think. I'm beat! Should sleep good!

Ona...What is ANZAC?

ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corp. During WWI there were MANY lives lost when the Aussies and Kiwi's landed on the beaches at Gallipoli..........we have a public holiday to celebrate and honour all the people that have given up their lives for our freedom.

Dawn services are held around the country as well marches down the main streets, where people from past wars and/or their relatives march to honour their fallen comrades.

This a link explaining it better I have!

http://www.awm.gov.au/commemoration/anzac/anzac_tradition.asp

The dawn services are particularly moving, and I have always loved the ode that is recited and goes as follows:

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

http://www.awm.gov.au/commemoration/customs/recitation.asp

When you are standing there in the still quiet of the dawn and hear those words and then you hear the Last Post and wow!! the feeling that rises in your heart is just so overwhelming and filled with such gratitude for these fallen but never forgotten heroes. (I am getting teary must writing about it!!! ) :)

More info about the last post here:

and of course, I can't mention Anzac Day without thinking/smelling the fragrance of the herb Rosemary. As a child at school we wore a sprig of it during our Anzac remberances. I have several bushes growing in my garden, and now, whenever I smell it lovely fragrance I am transported back to my school days!

okay, I am done!! LOL!! history lesson over with for today!!! :)

or come to Canada... where I am winters aren't too cold... generally around -10C during the days although some days are much colder lol.

Wow...thanks Ona....this is very much like our Memorial Day here...

It is a very important remembrance day. Nothing can be higher than those who gave their life for others to be free.

This was all very interesting...this is a good example of why I love it here so much....you learn things about the rest of the world that even if you had known or been taught about it before, it did not have that much meaning, because it did not seem as important, but seeing the passion and importance of things to others, you then can relate to it better!! Just reading about it in a book doesn't come across as powerful.

Thanks sweetie!!!:D

Oh and LOVE ROSEMARY!! Love that smell!!! It does make a great garden addition just for that reason!!
