Tulips!!!

It was a dream come true for me to go to the Netherlands in the spring and see the tulip fields...they really do look like this!

We were on a bike and barge tour and although I knew I would be excited to see the fields, what I didn't expect was the beautiful smell...especially from the hyacinth fields...it was heavenly!
It was several years ago and still I can smell it :-)

Thanks for sharing, Heather...there is not much I like better than the tulip fields.

That is gorgeous! I have just added a new item to my bucket list! I have been to the Netherlands once (for work) but it wasn't in the springtime. Now, I must get my family there in the spring to see this beautiful sight.

Maya!! ok you must go some day...it's a pretty quick trip from Delft to Aalsmere! You must go! Go to Keukenhoff of course, then make us a tulip kit ;-)
 
UUUHHHMMM....WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is definitely one of those things you just need to see in person!!! I would love to!!!
 
One of my friends may be going to the Netherlands next month for prep courses for a music school. I'm getting jealous he'll be there this time of year for sights like these!! STUNNING!!!
