Clara, I have no doubt you'll be a success! I also see x-ray work in your future now that you have the get up and go to set this one up. You know how when people adopt a baby they get pregnant??? LOL
 
...and may I offer the Official Seattle Blessing on your enterprise! (Although I'm in Pittsburgh for a few weeks doing night duty with newest grandson, and day-duty with his 18-month-old brother, 4-year-old brother, and 6-year-old sister. The 12-year-old sister is more help than "duty.")

I know it...I'm just waiting for that. LOL!! I'll get a call as soon as I buy the trailer, I know it. Stupid government jobs take forever to process!!!

Thank you!! That makes me happy! I didn't know you were a Washingtonian. I think really this is my attempt to bring the west coast to the east coast. Where are you from? We own a house in Olympia and hope to move back in it eventually.
 
I used to frequent one of these in Alaska. They were the best. Loved their free chocolate covered coffee beans with each purchase and SO much better that Starbucks! Good luck to you!

Keeping it simple...The Coffee Stand

Oh...I think I have an espresso machine. Whoohoo!! Drek's uncle used to have a coffee shop and still has a bunch of equipment.
 
Adding my congrats to you Clara. Wow such exciting news. I wish you the best of luck!I only just found out about coffee stands a few years ago when visiting my sister near Tacoma. Being a fan of coffee I thought it was soooo much fun to have a drive-up and even walk up coffee stands all over the place (like you find snow cone stands here in Texas).
 
So today I am trying to be patient. I'm waiting to hear about funding and it is making me crazy not knowing. My mom has started being supportive now that I have actually started the process. She gave me some good advice when I was stressing about not knowing about the funding. She said Don't borrow bad news!" It will become a LO eventually...once I have a stand set up, that will be the photo. I should hopefully find out about funding this week. I applied for money on Wednesday and they said 5-7 days so by Friday I would think. I'm praying, hoping, crossing fingers and just trying to look forward. I have gotten so much support from my friends and especially my husband. Last night he was a total saint. He tried to get his dad to make the call but since his dad wouldn't do it he called his uncle to find out what equipment he still had from a coffee shop he had several years back. he has a fabulous espresso maker, a grinder and a cash register that he will sell us for $1500. We have to go up and get it but for that price it is totally worth it. I'm totally stoked about that. I'm waiting on some pics and stuff.

So, until I know about funding there isn't much I can do. I am going to start working on lists of what I need to do and also...I need to come up with a logo. Since I have been talking about this I have found out about soooo many people who used to live in WA and also a ton of people who have not only lived in WA but also worked in coffee shops there. So, I have all sorts of help and stuff. I'm very excited. Yay!!


If any of you have a graphic design background and can give me some thoughts on that are welcome to do so.
