always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!
It is 12:30AM making it Friday and I was going to post in yesterdays but decided to go ahead and just start a new thread instead. So yesterday was a fantastic day, although if I could have reached my hand through the phone I may very well have strangled my pseudo sister. Good thing phones can do everything else but can't actually put you someplace else or i could very possibly be in jail today for physically assaulting someone for being dumb. The rest of my day was pretty awesome though. I went to go see a friend of mine who used to actually be my nanny (for the kids) and the reason I digiscrap. I wanted to see her and so did the kids before we left and so we worked it out for today. She lives in a little town on the Washington Peninsula, near another little town, neither of which I had been to before. So we played around with the kids, went to a little hands on aquarium, and to an aquatic center that was basically a pool on steroids. It was a lot of fun.
After hanging out all day the plan was for me to take the ferry over to Seattle so that Stacy (the pseudo-sis) could get the kids for the night. she had taken tomorrow off of work to hang out with them and stuff. There was some work social event she wanted to go to but it would have her picking the kids up after 9, and that didn't thrill me much. So, after checking out the ferry schedules I worked it out so she could pick the kids up at 8:45 in seattle. She'd have to leave her event a little early but not too bad and not that big of a deal to see her neice and nephew before they move cross country. It took her forever to get back to me, when she finally did she didn't love it, asked if her friend (who I have met before) could pick up the kids. i told her I didn't love that plan and so she said she'd get back to me in about 20 minutes. Mind you I am on a schedule so that I can catch a boat. After not hearing from her for about 40 minutes I sent her a text saying I need to know her plan because otherwise I wouldn't make the ferry and would need to just go home instead. 10 minutes later she finally called and said she had just forgot to call me. Are freaking kidding me?? you forgot to call me and want to keep my kids overnight?? You have got to be out of your mind. This was about the time I would have pounced through the phone if it would have let me. I very calmly let her know that I was using every kind part of my being to keep from saying many things that make her never want to speak to me and to give me a couple of minutes and I would have my husband call her and let her know what the deal was. she kept trying to say that she could come and get them the next day, like I have time to rearrange my schedule for her social engagements.
So, instead I elongated my time with my friend Laura and we ate far too many strawberries from her grandpa's garden and took some really sweet photos of the kids. Man I wish I had some time to scrap. How cool that I have a REALLY long car ride cross country, right?? LOL!! So, although Stacy made my head spin in circles, I had a really great day. Tomorrow, or rather today should be a good day too. I hope anyway. I have to get my room that i am leading ready for VBS - High Seas Adventure. I'm doing a Cinema room, so it is pretty easy to do. So, tomorrow me and the kids have to decorate it and then we are headed to Seattle to hang out with my family and my cousin from Michigan who got in late last night. I hope it comes together well.
Oh, and the most exciting thing!!!! We put our house up to get rented last night and have already gotten 3 hits on it and are getting walk throughs scheduled. Whoohoo!!!! Wish us luck on getting it rented to t he right people ASAP!!!
