Looks like Linda W is going to get slammed- 12-18 inches in her area from what I am seeing. Be careful hon- I am thinking of you!

An old friend of mine from NJ is now is NC and thy are expecting 2-3 inches. He must be laughing his butt off.

We are being forecast of anywhere between 4-12 inches. Depends on which way the storm goes. But we tend to get more than lots of other parts of the state. Thankfully Gary was able to get the snow blower out and ready to go.

Should be fun-yuck!

Yes Linda!! Stay safe and warm...stay inside and scrap :)

Hey Chris - we are supposed to get 8-10" here!! Let's compare tomorrow and see what we really get since we are so close :) AJ went out got the salt and the snow blower cranked up. All the neighbors came out and were checking it out! *LOL* We could see the hope in their eyes :)

Poor Nick..he said to me..."Really? Really? I have to have pneumonia when it finally snows...NO FAIR!!" Hahahahah poor pookie!!

Come on down ..... the pool is looking very inviting? Got your togs? bathers? swimmers? bikini? (joking!)

Take care all.

I don't think that we are supposed to get any this weekend. But I'm almost afraid to look at the weather after last weekend.

Stay safe ladies!

Buhahahahaha HELEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am very jealous about right now of the weather down under!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks girls..I think we will okay here....We are all tucked in here...with our little man!!! Sharon came to pick them up early today when the snow first started...he said he wanted to be snowed in at Nana's house :D:D:D

So we will go out and play some tomorrow...but if it does snow as much as they say, it will be over his head!!! LOL!!!

It's off to a good start...I had been worried about everyone all afternoon...Traci headed to her new house (about 35 or 40 minutes from here)...but the traffic had gotten so bad and started snowing as she was headed there, it took her 2 hours....Sharon just lives about 10 minutes and she had no problems....But DH...was out delivering packages....NOTHING stops BIG BROWN!!! He did get home by 6:30...earliest night this whole Christmas season...it has been around 8 or 8:30 every night. He was a bit frazzled...his nerves don't withstand it like he used to!!

I intend to scrap, comment and COOK AND BAKE as long as the power doesn't go out...if it does...we have gas logs...I will put a sheet over the door to the den and we will throw some mattresses on the floor!! I have LOTS of pork and beans (LOL)...so we are good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) I just love you girls!!!!!!!!!

I'm with Linda S. Not looking at the forecast after last weekend. We can send you all our survival tips.

Well...our totals are rising every time I look at the weather....we are now going to have a possible 22"...........It's been snowing for 7 hours and we have 7"...........

Yes Sara.............survival tips are much appreciated...:o

I hope all of those in our town who said "I wish we would get some snow" are very happy now!!:)

OMG 22"!!!!! I think Britain would sink with 22" of snow!

It's been snowing here in London for the last 3 days, which is pretty unusual - normally it's too warm here, but nothing is settling, thank goodness. We're not equipped to deal with it in this country, at least here in the namby south (in Scotland some areas are snow covered all year, but they manage to survive in it) - in my part of London the council can't even manage to grit the main roads, let alone deal with the side streets.

Stay save, Linda, and I really hope you don't lose your power - that would be just too cruel over Christmas.

Awww Phooey....I had my bag packed ;)

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...............it's freezing here and we all ready have several inches on the ground at 7:30am. It is supposed to snow until late tonight.

LindaW - so glad your family is safe and sound :) Have fun playing in the snow!!

Selena - Oh wow snow really!!! That is cool...at least it's not laying :) I am actually hoping for a white Christmas this year!

OH we woke up to 16" already......and it's still pouring down out there!!

Good thing I am a home body!!! We won't be going anywhere for a few days!!!

16" sure beat our 3" :). I told the girls we are staying home today anyway.

Its funny how our perceptions change with time. I was born and raised in North Lake Tahoe and it was nothing to get 3-4 feet in one night. Everyone had 4 wheel drive cars and chains. Even our school bus would pull over some days to put chains on. On the rare days when school was called off, 6 feet or more, we still mangaged to get to the ski area.

16" also beat our 12". =)

You already have my survival tip Linda. STAY HOME. =)

Jos - Isn't it funny how different locations change the perspective on what is an event? Even in Vegas when we went a while back, they had such a problem with rain. My husband and I were like...this is nothing, but the city isn't physically equipped to handle a lot of rain. Same thing with snow places. 3" in one place (like Omaha) isn't anything. We just get out our 4WD and go on our way. But other places who don't really have plows and salt and everything else...it's freak out time.

=)

Stay warm and safe ladies!!! Don't hurt yourself shoveling!

Ona......Helen.........

Move over........I am headed your way and I need a place to stay!!!!!!!!!

18" here...and it just started snowing again!!! UGHHH!!!

...uuuhhhmmm you girls want to see snow...watch my gallery...layouts coming soon!!!! I have lots of photos now!!!

okay...just wanted to say our high today was around 64ish, i think...I also think we are playing our band's last christmas gig OUTSIDE tonight!!! yipeeeeee!!! It's gorgeous here...just saying!!!

(((HUGS))) dare I say another perfect Aussie summer day?

NO!

I think it would be kinda cool to be "locked" inside - forced time out. As long as you are safe and everything is working.

What would I know? Only seen snow maybe five times in my life.

I will get the spare room ready Linda!

hahahha! Linda!! COME ON DOWN!!!! we have plenty of room for you sweetie!!! but truth be told today has been gloriously cool with light rain falling all day! blisss! the rain is coming from the cyclone over the on the west coast of aussie........apparently it has been upgraded to a Category 5 but then again, on another news sources it said it was being downgraded!! go figure!! anyway you guys, hope you are all safe and sound in your homes.....like Helen, it sounds so cozy and fun!!! but we don't have to live with it either!! :)

It's still snowing lightly here....last night we had 16" and climbing...haven't heard what it went up too this morning.

Everyone okay?

Oh ladies. I hope you are hanging in there. I heard you might get two feet worth by the time it's over. I'm sorry!!! Hope you had enough groceries to last you. Kat, I hope the little one is doing better today.

Do you laides want to hear about our Blizzard Conditions......

oh about 4"!

All that hype up here....
I know other parts of NJ, esp south got hit worse, but this is like getting drizzle instead of a hurricane for my town.

Linda W- can you swing by here before you leave for Helen's and Ona's????

okay ... DH got sunburned this weekend ... going to be another warm one.

How funny Helen! I love thinking of you guys doing Christmas in the summertime. I really hope that in 5 or 6 years, we can take a winter vacation down under! I need to start saving now!;)

well you will still have the carols right Linda ... we very stupidly sing about "dashing through the snow" whilst baking in 100F heat! LOL! We wish!

Much prefer our Aussie version of "Santa where's your shorts" !!!!
