Sorry I am not here

Hi everyone sorry for not being in touch but since coming out of Hospital on the day of the operation I have had terrible diarrhoea everything I ate just went straight through me ....because I am on meds for the PBC my Liver the specialist told me to stop taking them as they can cause diarrhoea but still that never stopped by Friday it was 2 weeks since the operation I felt so ill with it that I phoned the doctors and she immediately called me in for an examination she first thought it could be Sepsis or my Appendix and that I needed to go to the A and E straight away.... I was seen by the Triage Nurse who said I needed to be admitted for further investigation after spending 26 hours on a trolley bed I asked for a proper bed as I have 3 worn discs at the base of my spine and Osteoarthritis and if I stayed on the trolley bed another night I would end up with pressure sores I eventully got a bed late on Saturday night I also had a CT scan where they put blue dye in which showed up an infection where they had taken the Gall Bladder out and asked if I was not given Antibiotics on the day of the operation to prevent any infection NO I was just sent home without anything so they started me on an Antibiotic drip ...Paracetomol and a Saline drip...I was told I would be going up to a side ward on the S.A Ward Surgical Assessment Ward this never came available as they thought I would be safer on A and E in a cubicle away from any Covid infections which I could understand was safer for me being as I am also Asthmatic.....the Doctor came round on Sunday Morning to explain the C.T. results saying there was a very bad infection and the Antibiotics should clear it up and that I would be safer at home than where I was so I came home and feel a lot better in my own bed...

Now If you are reading this I hope I dont bore you I will tell you of my experience in A and E the first night a very loud angry man was admitted next door to my cubicle he was swearing shouting throwing things in the room and banging on the wall most of the night ...eventually the nursing staff moved me around the corner I could still hear him but I was not as scared I needed to go to the loo which meant I had to pass his room as there is only one toilet he was not in his room he was stark naked at the bottom of the corridor yep in the buff standing at the A and E doors arms folded goading 5 police officers to stop him it took one nurse to get him to go back to his room if the police had retaliated he would have gone straight through the doors where lot's of people with children were waiting to be seen by the triage nurse...this man was a bully and did not care about anyone else and to be honest his belly was so big I dont know how he could even find his tiny willy ....so that night no one got any sleep with him the next day Saturday they admitted who I think was a homeless person he had so many carrier bags you could hardly see him but I will remember his name for a long time all he kept shouting was no,no,no,no no at the top of his voice everytime the nursing staff went near him oh and yes he was put in the next cubicle to me he had 4 officers with him he must have been going to do his business on the floor or up the wall as the staff had to try and stop him what a commotion that was ..... there were 2 more admitted I think from the local prison as they were cuffed and on a long metal chain a metre apart from the officers those 2 were quiet thankfully ....so a weekend with hardly any sleep for me and the other patients ..... at least I am home now I hope I have put a smile on your faces with my weekend at the Hotel Disaster... this is an update to tell you I am feeling a lot better but now I have sciatica with the time on the trolley beds my back has suffered a lot of pain and caused the sciatica.....I dont know when I will be back on here as I still feel tired and weak ny energy levels are very low hopefully in the New Year things will get back to normal in the mean time I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Thank you for all your support.I have posted the same on Facebook.

Oh my goodness, Mary, what an ordeal you've been through. I'm so thankful you are feeling better. And, yes, you brought a smile to my face, but also I was so scared for you being next to the crazy naked man. It also made me much more appreciative of what hospital staff has to go through on a daily basis. They are truly heroes, in more ways than one. Please continue to get better and I hope your Christmas is super special!! ♥
