eace:eace: I am happy! I just got a few new additions to my collections!

first a few new spools

I have only about 9 or 10 of these, so a very small collection



and a few more dolls, to my matroesjka collection

I have a lot more of these, not counting them!

Diane, I love your dolls and your spools!

Just a few of my doilies. Over the years, I've collected about 300-325. A lot of them are very old and cherished. I have them all around my home. I love seeing them as it reminds me of my grandmother.

we have some doilies too, they are in a drawer somewhere.
We scanned them to create Maya's lace doily papers.

Cute collections, Diane! And I love the idea of seeing the actual doilies that Maya uses for her kits if you ever have a chance to take a picture of them.


Danesa, where do you get your doilies from aside from your grandmother? Must be nice to see them and think of her.

Actually, I do collect faery things and Disney things. I will take a couple of pics to share today.

I took pics of my faeries-sorry that the quality/lighting stinks

These are some of my older ones, one of the mother/daughter faeries is Caitlyn's. It doesn't fit in with her gothic room decor but didn't want to pack it away so it is relocated with mine. The shelf is actually from an old dresser- it is a dresser drawer that Gary restained, added a shelf, drawer and knobs.

This is a view over my computer desk. If you look closely at the the faery in the black frame on top, you might recognize her-- it is Cait, who photoshopped wings onto her.

This one makes me SMH every time I see it. Gary got it for me for my b-day last year. He wanted to get me a faery and the second he saw it, this is the one her *had* to get. It is freaky how much it looks like Caitlyn.

I don't think this one is an older one,
I do have some vintage ones.

we have letterboxes in all sorts of shapes and sizes,
really small ones, house shaped ones and real drawers.

I would almost call it a little collection!
when I have more than 10 of something I think I can call it a collection!

Chris, your fairies are gorgeous!! I love fairies too and had a gorgeous collection at the old place, plus some wizards and dragons and they all lived outside in my garden. I was heartbroken when I realised that all the big ones wouldn't be able to come with me but apparently they are doing quite well at my daughter-in-law's place!

I was able to smuggle some of little fairies and imps down here.......... wrapped up and stuck in with the crockery!! ound: No doubt I will add to them when I find some down here in Tassie.

Ona- oh, those little faeries and friends are awesome, I love how they are nestled in the leaves. And NO WAY!! No button collections for me. ound:

Marijke- you would die to see my neighbor's collection of vintage cameras- he has a room full of them, shelf upon shelf. he collections projectors as well as film cameras. We gave him our first digital camera to start the next section of his collection too.

Ona, those fairies are beautiful and look like they've taking up residence easily.
Diane, beautiful collection of doilies and I love buttons! (unlike Chris haha)
Chris, I have some of the doilies from my great-grandmother, grandmother, mom and some I've collected from estate sales, markets, vintage & antique stores...lots of places. I keep the older ones in a chest, since my daughters want to carry on the generational collection.
marijke, I love those old cameras. They are awesome. I have three that my uncle left me, which I have on display in my "grandma" guest room.
