Ummm … except for the Housewives franchise and the Bachelo/Bachelorett, I’ll watch pretty much any reality TV. I tried to watch Celebrity BB but it was just too much. Amazing Race is interesting because of the Covid spin. I’m a die-hard from the beginning Survivor and Project Runway fan. Also Top Chef. American Idol has gotten better, but I love the Voice and my absolute favorite is So You Think You Can Dance. And … and …
just as a little personal tibit … I once won a price for being able to identify 100 tv commercials by their music alone. Of course that was more than 50+ years ago. TV was a hobby. Lol!
Years ago (8-9?) a bunch of ladies in my neighbourhood would get together and watch the Bachelor/Bachelorette together. It was an excuse to hang out and have snacks once a week, away from children lol We stopped when fewer and fewer people started coming, and then people moved away, got divorced, etc ... I miss the weekly visits with friends though! I watched it for awhile without them, but stopped a few years ago. My hubby went to the same high school with one of the Bachelorettes (Jillian Harris), so it was neat to see someone from this area on TV (no, I've never met her).
Not anymore - I might watch a few of them, but my hubby burned out a long time ago. I do love Top Chef so he HAS to suffer through that when it's on. We used to watch a lot of them except the housewives - can't hack those. Some of the silly shows that I also like aren't really "reality" because they're not live. I get a kick out of Below Deck and my hubby will actually watch The Chrisleys - he thinks they're a riot. They're not really "reality" though, I don't think. We watch Survivor from the very first episode but got burned out on that one, too. Big Brother was good in the beginning, too. I think a lot of people are "reality-d out".
Vicki
@Vicki Robinson that's pretty cool about winning the commercial contest!
I've never watched Top Chef but we do like the chef shows with Gordon Ramsey, etc lol I've never been a Housewives fan either - things are just too far out there for me.
I used to watch a lot of it when it first started to catch on like the ones on MTV or VH1 like I Love New York and Flavor Of Love and Rock Of Love lol and I'd love to start some now but just don't have enough hours in the day
OMG Flavor of Love - I haven't thought of that in so long!!! I don't really 'watch' tv, I have it on in the background while I'm on my laptop. Hubby hates it lol
The only reality show I've ever watched is Survivor. I guess I don't want a lot of "reality" in my entertainment choices. Give me make-believe every time, lol.
I refused to watch Survivor for the first season until I think the final episode - I thought it was terrible, the concept - which is surprising, you'd think I would have been all over the 'social experiment' as I was in my 3rd year os University as a sociology major at the time lol
