Get to know Anja behind A Whimsical Adventure:
I’m Anja, the designer behind A Whimsical Adventure. Since 2015, I’ve been creating digital scrapbooking and journaling supplies, along with printables for journaling, home décor, and parties.
Creativity has always been an essential part of who I am. During my four years studying fine arts, I immersed myself in techniques like etching, linocut, watercolors, and pastels. Later, I studied graphic design, which gave me the tools to merge traditional artistry with digital techniques. More recently, I’ve embraced the possibilities of AI, which has allowed me to push creative boundaries even further. These skills have helped me bring my imagination to life, weaving magic and nostalgia into designs that feel meaningful and unique.
When I create, there’s always a story behind it. Every paper, element, and detail is tied to that story, carefully crafted to take you on a journey into a world of wonder. My style blends shabby elegance with a vintage influence, often drawing from muted color palettes, aged textures, and an intentional sense of imperfection that feels timeworn and full of character. Whether inspired by lighthearted fairytales or darker fantasy worlds, my designs aim to spark your imagination and add a little magic to whatever you’re working on.
I live in a quiet Belgian village with my husband, daughter, and two rescue cats. Surrounded by meadows and forests, it’s the perfect backdrop for dreaming up new ideas. When I’m not designing, I love to read, crochet, knit, and lose myself in a good series or movie.
