We adopted her from the shelter almost two years ago. At first, she was very scared. It took months before she stopped being frightened by every noise and felt comfortable sleeping in her basket.
After more than a year, I was able to pick her up occasionally, and she would come to me on her own to ask for attention.
Last Friday evening, she just came and lay down on my lap out of nowhere. She is so sweet!
And I am so happy with her!!

Oh, adorable!! some of this adopted one´s need some time to adapt but they all have a lot of love to give and need to receive it! Now that she trusts you she will be your shadow, enjoy!! :kitty:

Poor thing. She must have dealt with a lot before and it took time to trust people again... But she finally found a wonderful loving home. You were what she needed. Congrats and I wish you lots of future cuddles.

That is so awesome, but especially because you had the love + patience enough to give her the time she needed.
