Yesterday I went to a party with my sister. I like to dance and have fun.
With my fibromyalgia it is always a bit of recovery afterwards, but recently I was told that I have osteoarthritis in my knee and standing up for so long is terribly painful afterwords. My knee then becomes swollen and stiff, so yesterday we stood for hours and danced and we had a lot of fun, but afterwards I could hardly drive a car after because I couldn't bend my knee.
And today I slept almost all day. My God, I need a whole day to recuperate, so for me the weekend could last one more day.

do you sometimes experience that too

absolutely do! Sorry you had such pain but glad you at least had something fun as the cause :)

I sometimes experience that, especially with my right shoulder, but that's why I try to keep going to my fitness classes since it helps keep my stamina better overall.
I have heard the saying that getting older is not for the faint of heart! :hiding1:

My husband and I both went to the chiropractor on Friday. We both have some mileage on us!

It's one reason why I carefully watch how much wine I drink- I sure as heck can't drink as much and get up feeling fine the next day like I did in college :drinks2:

I don't overdrink anymore, my hangovers got worse as the years passed so my limit is much less than it used to be. I go out hiking a lot but usually I have to be much quieter the next day to recoup b/c of my back. I also don't stay up as late as I used to, going to bed usually before 10:30 and staying in bed until 7ish whereas years ago I stayed up until 1 or 2 and got up at 7:30, can't do that anymore, it wipes me out the next day.

I DO like my wine, but I can't party hearty AND drink much. My family loves to party and I cut off the wine long before the rest of them do. I don't even try to keep up. I despise hangovers and haven't had one for years and years. I used to try to party AND drink like the others could, but it just doesn't work for me. I LOVE to party and have fun and I can stay up as late as anybody else but have to cut the drinking off pretty early. If it's going to be a late night, I switch to water.
