It is awesome being married to a built-in IT Tech!
My computer died a horrible death on Sunday, but my sweet hubby was somehow able to get my computer running again. Not sure how, but he was able to get the data on my hard drives scanned and they were intact. And then he was able to get the computer to start up. Then began the crazy bit of trying to remove all of the mal-ware. Its not going away no matter how much we try to clean it. So I am hopeful that it is salvageable, but I am concerned about all of the crud that I can't get rid of.

Vera, you can borrow him any time as long as you keep him long enough that I can have some time alone in my house. And you have to deal with his quirks. LOL

It is looking good!! We ran some more mal-ware removal programs, manually deleted stuff that it found but wasn't able to remove and now I am just back to restore stuff like search engines and home pages.Carbonite has been running non-stop. Yay!!!!
