My faery house book is finished!

The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
My son's girlfriend got me a faery house kit for Christmas. I've been building it for a couple of months and it is finally complete! It wasn't the easiest thing to make because 1. everything is teeny tiny and 2. the directions were not always helpful. For example: Take (part #) A-13. Wrap it. Stick it.
After a while, I was able to figure out what they meant but I still ended up with some leftover pieces and parts.
Everything was going grand until I needed to do the final wiring and I had no idea. Glueing and cutting, sure- that part was easy, but the wiring instructions were weird even for my husband who has been rigging up electronics since he was a kid. He was able to figure it out and turned the lights on and it is soooo adorable!
I took some photos to share since I have been giving updates in the Daily Ooos.
So... :drums:
drum roll!

Thanks for looking!

Great Job my faery friend!! It is just so cute! It must have been so finicky to put together all of those small pieces, but it turned out amazing!

And to everyone who said they wouldn't have the patience, I didn't think so either. At least not until I broke my foot and had no choice but to sit all day :D

So pretty! I definitely don't have the patience for these things. My daughter has been building these lego style flowers for weeks and it's hundreds of teeny tiny pieces and I just don't get how she does it lol. But they of course turn out beautifully. She says it helps her anxiety.

wow! how fantastic Miss Faery!!! oh I love it and it seems your son's girlfriend knows what you like! lol! It sure would have been fiddly putting it together and I can imagine trying to follow those instructions............. I think a lot of those 'put it together' type of things have instructions written by a non-English speaking person!! :giggle4: I always get a laugh out of them!

So when are you likely to get mine finished to send in the mail?? :waiting:

We have done a few Lego builds as a family and I have a terrible time with them. More power to DD if that helps with her anxiety. :hug2:

Yes, the instructions were most definitely some sort of translation. :giggle4:
I would love to make one and send it to you. It might be a little larger than this one. Hmmmm--maybe big enough to fit a 4'11" Faery? :dancingbfly:
Does that work? :floorlaugh:

CHRISSSSSS!
I need a quiet room like that too. You know what I mean? After all the flying around, helping, and protecting, a fairy needs a proper home! What a great idea, and you've got it really cozy now.
Invite me for tea, please!
:fairy1:

OMG I love it. That is so COOL. It was a wonderful gift. Thanks for showing us the finished project after a few glimpes and lots of comments.
Years ago my kids gave me dollhouse lighthouse to build. It took 3 1/2 months to build and another few to decorate it but I loved it. It is still one of my favorite things I own.
I hope you continue to enjoy it like I do.

OMG, the faeries will be partying in those lush digs. I can make quilts with hundreds of weird wonky patience, but no patience for something like that or jigsaw puzzles. Attention span of a faery, flit, flit, quit..........

I will introduce you to the little ones that live in my garden when you get here!!! (If I can find them...... the garden is a tad overgrown at the moment! lol! ) :giggle4:

Chris, I was so happy to see this and that you finished your Fairy house and it's beautiful! I have put together a large Lego gingerbread house (no written word instructions, just drawings) so understand the direction and language frustrations which make your success even more impressive! I love how it looks lit up and the detail is amazing, good going you! Your Fairy house is really so sweet and I loved looking through all the intricate pieces, the inhabitants sure will be happy there. I guess there is an upside to your incarceration. :beatingheart: (I'm not laughing, I spent a very long time with a stress fracture I couldn't step on, so I cat it). Thanks so much for posting this, I've been anxious to see!

@MariJ I am LMBO at "incarceration" -- sure feels it some days!
I get it, truly! I was just a little better off because it was summer/fall when my incarceration started so at first I would pack a lunch, a book and whatever else and sit on the lawn in a beach chair in the warmth. Maybe pretend I was on some island.... Not....
:( :fairy2: :rotfl::beatingheart:
