:wave: I suppose this is primarily for the girls that know me from DD..

I think most of you know that I went to the UK Feb-Mar to visit family etc, well it turned out to be fate that I choose to go home at that time, as my dear sister died whilst I was there.. sooo very sad..

She had been ill for a long time, and during the last six months was in and out of hospital to get her stomach drained etc, but was usually out within a day or two at most, we'd been told just before we left for London that she had gone into hospital again, and I thought that she would be out before we got home, but alas she wasn't, so for the next three weeks we visited her everyday in hospital, day by day we could see the deterioration, the pain got soo bad that they were giving her morphine, and so was constantly in and out of a medication induced fog, we were lucky in that the first week, she was quite lucid, and we'd talk and have a joke and a little laugh, but then she got to the point where some days not lucid at all.. after three weeks she died, it was awful.. then we had to go and visit her in the funeral parlour, where her six children had an open coffin. OMGosh, it was crushing to see her 4 sons and 2 daughters sobbing, as we all were..

So, been back to OZ for about 4 weeks now, and still finding it hard to just sit and scrap, but have been doing a few P365 pages and some pages for my London book, but I'm hoping to get back into it and post here a bit more...
I've been checking out the gallery, and realise how much I miss the sensational artists, I've bought a couple of new products of the fabulous Miss AA, so with your inspiration, I'll be up and running in no time..

Gosh, I'm so sorry to read of your sister's death and my thoughts are with you and her family. What a downer this was for your holiday but what a relief in the end that you were home then to be with your sister.

I hope you find the space you need to get back into your normal routines and here's a cheery thought for you - thank heavens you're in Oz because right now in London it's absolutely bucketing down and about 8ºC - so much for spring time.

Janet, I am so sorry for your loss. I am sure that it was a great peace to your sister to know that you were with her as she passed.
I hope that you can find comfort and healing through your scrapping.

Hugs~~

It takes time Janet. Lots of time...I know it wasn't the trip you planned but it certainly was as it as meant to be. Lots of hugs {{{Janet}}}

Janet so sad to hear of the loss of your dear sister!! May you find personal healing in scrapping again! You were where you were meant to be!! I am sure your sister found comfort in your being by her side! (((hugs))).

Janet, this is terrible news. what a heart-wrenching visit this must have been. but you DID get to be with her and her family during this awful time and draw some support from each other. i'm sure you're feeling pretty fragile after all of this. thanks so much for dropping in to tell us. i know you'll make some beautiful ART in your sister's memory when you're healed.

Welcome to Oscraps Janet! I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Janet. It's a blessing you got to spend time with her. I hope your time here at the O will be a blessing to you as well :)
