Let's All Take A Deep Breath ...

Things are crazy right now - everyone I know is feeling it, so I am sure you are too.

So maybe we can all take a big deep breath in and let it out slowly .... and once you've done that, how about telling me one thing - just ONE thing - you are grateful for right now.

I'll start. Right this minute I'm grateful to all those birds that are chirping like crazy outside my studio window. They sound joyful and playful and full of life - and they are making me smile!

Your turn. What one thing are you grateful for right now?

My father is home after 2 weeks in the hospital! Seeing him so happy to go to his own bed made me smile today!

My husband is home again after a week of hospital. He took a fall and broke his hip, and is looking at a lot of weeks of rehabilitation. I had a crazy week, travelling to and from the hospital, and will have more crazy weeks to come, but at least we are all home!

I am grateful that the mixed media collage workshop was last weekend so that it was not cancelled - because it was wonderful!

It's kind of silly, but I'm grateful for Instagram and the chance to be in touch with all my favorite musicians, to see how they continued to create music, even when the summer season events will be probably canceled. It's keeps me focused on the bright future!

I know how much you love music, and an awesome way to look forward. Did you see the video on Twitter/FB of the Sicilian people singing from their balconies? Made me wish I lived in an area like that :)

One huge thing I am grateful for is my family. My "kids" are both having to do remote learning for the next several weeks, possibly (likely) for the rest of the semester. But even though we will be stuck inside, we have plans for doing some fun stuff- we have games- we are Pictionary and Cranium fiends- puzzles, movies. And we all have dark senses of humor. The day we found out that practically everything is being shut down, we watched "The Gang Goes into Quarantine"- Always Sunny in Philadelphia episode. :p
It might get tense here and there, but we will also have some fun.

I'm grateful to be reading what you all are grateful for. It makes me think of those things in my life and be thankful for them too.

I'm grateful for all the social media outlets that allow friends and family to stay in touch even though we are physically separated from each other.

I am grateful for the nicer weather too, Mary. Caitlyn, Gary, and I took all three dogs for a short walk this morning. Boy, are we out of shape, but one thing to look forward to, if I can keep that up is getting back into shape. :)

Oh, yes they showed it even at the news. It's so cute! Italy tries really hard to put the situation under control. And they have great community spirit! :yo:

This is a good thread. I admit I'm starting to feel panicked and scared for what is happening around us.....so this is a good reminder to take breath, put things in perspective and trust that we will get through this time, we will adjust and adapt to changes that need to be made now.

I am grateful for my family and pets. We spent the afternoon with Bailey yesterday and left the rest of the world outside the door. We laughed, did puzzles, played with the dogs (the caregivers have a small dog there who plays with Taz when we visit) and enjoyed each others company.

I am grateful that David is on the mend and healing faster than expected. The last 5 or 6 weeks have been long but I'm happy that his health is going in the right direction.

It's so inspiring reading all the thankful responses. I am grateful for the opportunity to keep in touch, over the internet & FaceTime, with family & friends. Also, this community provides us a great big world to live in, in our small inside spaces now. We are blessed to have this outlet.

I am grateful to be reminded that we are all ONE. We are all the same and just want the same things for ourselves - health, peace, security and love.
