Just spreading a little cheer.....

Tomatoes don't belong in this thread. I take nuts LOL...I'm not shocked. Christmas is always very relaxed for us.
I just think it's bad that the year is almost over and time just flies...

I'd rather have nuts than tomatoes. Hahahaha We shouldn't be shocked because the stores are starting to decorate and it;s not even Halloween yet. I just saw that countdown clock and thought it would be fun to get everybody's reactions. Yes, please throw nuts. Hahaha
 
Well, it seems impossible to me that we are talking about Christmas. However, I know that it is true. I really would like to do some extra baking this year but the price of everything...butter, flour, sugar...wow! I'll probably do it anyway. And I may need one more inflatable for the yard! I need to focus!

Although, I did buy my first Christmas gift yesterday. That was only because it was part of Prime Day or whatever. Gary was asking around the edges if he could buy it for himself and I told him no way- but send me the link to pass along as a Christmas idea.

Thanks, Linda. Hahaha I didn't know what kind of responses I'd get but I just had to post this. I'm starting to get some gifts because I'm afraid some things will be harder to get this year. I'm starting my shopping in the next week or so.

That darned "add to cart button" anyway!! So, I'm going to take your answer as "mixed" - boo but bought one gift. BWAHAHA
 
Xmas will be quieter this year. It'll be our first without Bailey. Jen is going to work and I am going to get outdoors with the dogs for a few hours. We will celebrate with a few gifts, turkey dinner and we'll find a few good movies to watch. That's the plan but who knows, we may end up doing something entirely different.
 
I'm into Christmas planning already. I'm going to do a new H&S book for DH (did one in 2016), have picked two other items I want to get him. So just getting them without his knowing, picking one more, actually DOING the new book, and then gifts for BiL and the evil cat. That's about it for me.
 
I've never been one to buy Christmas gifts early, unless it was something I was making. I am still processing the fact that summer is over and am trying to focus on the gorgeous fall colors before I start thinking about Christmas. The collab reminder in the email Vicki sent was an eye-opener, lol!
 
We don't celebrate Christmas with present. I do love all the lights though. But for me Christmas is a few extra off from work, spending with my husband and kids.
 
Christmas is a mixed bag for me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the holidays and all that goes into It, but the day holds a lot of sadness for me too. I just try to remember how much my Mom loved Christmas and know that she would want me to be happy too.

We have a very small circle of family, so gift buying doesn't really worry me.

This whole year as gone so fast and I know Christmas will be here before I'm totally ready.

Christmas is a sad time for lots of us, Susie. There are certain songs that I cannot listen to! I wish I didn't have to buy as many gifts as I do, but it is what it is.
