I have a blackberry for work and I don't use the internet access much ... DH also ... and for his 40th birhday last year he got (from me LOL ) a Samsung galaxy tap something. It's also pretty cool to play angry birds on LOL

If you're mostly around the house I'd go with Vicki and say get the Ipad or an Android tablet depending on your Mac Vs Linux philosopy ;) :D

You are right about that. I'd be more than happy with the 4G or 4S. My 3G is just starting to be a bit slow.

I'm weighing in here.
I have the iPhone 4G and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!
Had the 3G and gave it to my sister...she loves it too!

It's my camera and video camera too! I don't even
carry a camera anymore!!! the video is HD!!!

If you just use your phone occasionally, I would upgrade the battery.
If you use your phone a lot, I would get an iPhone.

An iPad is a good alternative if you want it for email, online forums, etc.

I was one of those...hate to even have a cell phone... persons but when dh got fed up with his Blackberry and went to an iPhone, I saw what he could do and as soon as my contract was up went for it too. I started with the 3G and when my contract was up again, moved to the 4G. Like Sue, it is my only camera now, and I use it constantly.

I don't know how much we pay because part of our service is a business expense for dh. I still don't make many calls but use the txt bit more for messages I don't want to have to take time for. W/o children at home, I don't have to sit and wait almost anywhere - both my dr and dentist run tight ships - but at airports I usually surf pinterest!

Since we both are totally Mac, our calendars synch etc etc. The apps open a world of possibilities!

btw, my contract is up again, and I too am waffling between...do I go for the 4GS or wait...LOL

Oh one of the cooler newer features of the iPhone is iMessage. You can message any other iPhone without using your text limit just like with the blackberry. You can message anywhere in the world using email. For example...Yvon has an iPhone and I can text her in the Netherlands from here in NC and it uses none of my messaging and doesn't have any kind of fee.

At first I felt like this to. But now I'm leaning more to the Apple side:bolt:
In august I can get a new phone. And I want an iPhone;) But I have to see what kind of deals they have to offer. Else it will be an other smartphone :)

I am totally in love with Siri. If I wasn't already married, I'd marry her. ;) I never dreamed I'd use the 4s voice capabilities so much. I mostly just use Siri to "remind me" and "set alarm", but I do like just being able to push a button and talk and not have to mess with typing, etc. I also use the voice texting which rocks!

There are rumors of iPhone 5 coming out! That's the problem, when to get!!! Hubby got me the 3G for my birthday a few years back. A month & a half later, iPhone 4 came out! Talk about mega frustration!!! Thankfully, my bro bought me the new one for Xmas that year!
When to buy, it's a risk you take!

Got my iphone today! But no SIM card. They don't send them out the same day for security reason. Hopefully I will get it in the mail tomorrow ... otherwise I will have a loooong and boring weekend LOL

Fortunately with AT&T here in the states I would be able to just run to the store and get a new card. Such torture. They should send the Sim card first. At least your phone will be all charged and synced to your computer if you wanted it to be. You can do quite a bit without the card. It is just like an iTouch without the card.
