and I haven't been mugged! :ohwell:

it appears my email account has been hacked and all my contacts have been sent an email to say that I am in Manilla with my family and that we were mugged and that I was stuck in a hotel room with no money to come home!!!!:eek2:


you can imagine my surprise when my sister rang me a bit earlier and asked "so, how is Manilla today???" bwhahahhaaa!!!!!


so I have changed my password and have contacted yahoo, not sure what I need to do now.

I did wonder when I read the email. But the English and punctuation was so awful that I knew it wasn't you!

I really don´t know why people have to do such awful things. But I hope the most know in this time that such mails are not from the original sender
 
Such craziness!! Glad you are safely home from your spontaneous manilla trip. That stuff is so annoying for the "sender."
 
LOL! thanks girls, yes it was a pretty quick trip!!! but I must say I have spoken to most of my family and a lot of friends this afternoon/evening as they have rung me to see what I was up to!!! hahahaa!!!! oh dear, some people just don't have a life at all!!!

I do wonder if people ever actually send money when they get an email like this. it's such a sob story.

Oh my goodness. I live in the Philippines but not in Manila(although I was born and brought up there) but in another island. It is so embarrassing to hear or read news about being mugged in our country. I am so sorry about your experience. We have a very beautiful country , so many islands to explore. I hope your experience won't discourage you to come back

no, no sweetie, that didn't really happen, my email was hacked and that is message that was sent out to all my contacts in my address book............ I am at home, have never been to Manila and have never been mugged! so nothing to worry about! :kiss:
 
Hahahaha I got that one email Ona ... and all I was thinking : Yahoo did it again!!
I already suggest some well ... almost any of my friends to use Gmail instead Yahoo ... Yahoo is so so so so terrible with spamming and hijacking ... four thumbs down for Yahoo ...

Maybe you can change to gmail too?? *wink wink*
